INTRODUCTION
Skills is considered as an ability to carry out task or activities with pre-determined results
or objective during the given period of time (Jackson, 2014). The main purpose of this report is
to identify and analyse various employability skills such as communication skills, teamwork,
problem solving along with presentations skills which I need to develop or I generally pursue.
The major aim is to identify the prescribed skills to understand the scope of development in the
future for both employee and employer.
MAIN BODY
Now a days, skills and traits of an employee become important and significant so as to
enhance maximum results & targets. Here, the discussion will be made regarding the various
suitable skills such as communication, time management, problem solving along with
presentation skills in an employer context The discussion is as follows:
Communication skills: This skill is defined as an act of conveying or interacting with
one particular message from one entity to another entity for bringing the mutual consent and
enabling effective relationship with peer, friends, collogues and employer. Communication skills
is useful, because it led to an effective and purposeful relationship in the workplace and
organisation to achieve pre-determined goals and targets. It is good to have this skill in
workplace, because it would helpful in converting worst relationship into the ethical connection
between an employer and employee (Rosenberg and et. Al 2012). In employer context, this skill
is helpful in bringing the right co-ordination, team work spirit along with potential to every work
as individual decision taker in their work or task. There are various benefits of an effective
communication skills in context with workplace: it led to improvement in the morale, efficiency
and enhancing the working relationships. In the current time, business entities are suffering with
an issue of improper and ineffective communication power and skills to achieve organisational
goals and objectives. Along with benefits, there are various barrier to an effective
communication of an employer such as arrogance, behaviour and anger. These barriers are
required to be overcome in order to achieve targets and goals effectively. There is also the point
what if particular employer don't have proper communication skills. As a result, it would be
difficult for that employer to perform or contribute his best efforts in accordance to my morale

It is important for key employer to have morale and purpose before being communicated
to others. Suppose, if any high level managerial person don't have correct interacting and
communicating skills, that person or employer would be morale and confidence would brought
down in comparison to the desired one.
An employer or team leader need to pursue this skill properly and also very confident
over this. In context to the workplace, change and continues improvement is a need, because
communication skills with no change and improvement looks like inappropriate and useless. An
employer should have pursue this skill and competency to act in he positive manner and also
directed towards the achievement of goals or targets of an organisation. But every skills and
ability needs continuous change and improvement over an appropriate period of time. Generally ,
employer have this unique and desired skill, because they want to achieve and accomplish my
pre-defined goals and make them more confidence and highly motivated. To be very effective
and strong, continuous change and improvement is required along with learning and
development on an daily basis. For better and effective development need to improve this skills
to get better work or job opportunity in the future or pursue higher responsibility where
communication is desired to obtain it in the shorter period of time. Communication has been
considered as desire aspects in every organisation, because it has led in building an effective
relationship and trust among people in an organisation.
Change and improvement in the communication skills can be achieved by regular
learning, training and development, practices over the weakness in context with such skills etc.
Effectiveness and efficiency in this skill can be obtained by self-evaluation, make
communication proper by daily and regular practice etc.
Problem-solving skills: This type of skill is determined as source of platform to solve
problem & issues and to find effective solutions. In the workplace, problem-solving skills is
considered as most important and useful technique to solve queries & problems of the person as
well as an employee to make them perfect and appropriate for the job. It is identified as the
separate skill in relation to other skills (de Guzman and et. Al 2013). It is important and suitable
to have problem solving skill in the workplace to maintain effective work relation, accountability
and confidence & interest toward the goals and targets of an organisation. For the effectiveness
employer, friends and other employee in the office.

personal and professional life. In personal life, person should have to arrange time for their
family, spouse, hobbies and other activities. But in the professional life, employee needs to
manage time to give equal importance and value to both work and personal life. In an employer
context, the key managerial person always use to give importance to time management, But in
the present scenario employer generally believed that time is less and opportunities/work are to
much complete. In context with workplace, this skill is necessary and suitable for both employer
employee to complete their task and work on time and encourage it for accomplishment of goals
and organisation. It is good to have time management skills in an organisation to increase work

includes interaction skills, speaking skills, dressing and talking skills etc. (Andrews and Russell,
2012). In both personal and professional life, this skill is necessary for an employer to become
competent enough to face every challenge and difficulties in an organisation. It is important and
necessary to have this skill in the workplace to become confident, develop personality & attitude
etc. If an employer don't have these skills and traits, It would be difficult for them to show their
positive and negative points to an employer and organisation. As a, result, it will effect my
performance and potential to showcase my self in front of my senior to gain targets and goal
achievement in an organisation. In today's time, every employer needs to have this relevant skills
to enhance my attribute such as speaking in the public meeting of the workplace, represent
company and establish themselves as glowing personality and stable attitude. Apart from such
perfection, an employer need to make these skills and competencies at the greater and higher
level by pursuing training and development, regular learning and continuous development

From the above assessment, Communication skills has been proven as necessary skill to

achieve organisational goals and objectives. Apart from this, time management has made
understand about the value and importance of time and its role in the entire organisation. Lastly,
it is concluded that presentation skill of every person it is important and necessary to consider
and improved at the greater extent and level.
