INTRODUCTIONThe essay will focus analysing nursing practices of health practitioners when working inemergency department. Practising for emergency department demand dense of urgency andresponsibleness among heath care providers. Also, it will analyse case study in which it willoutline pathophysiology of the 10 year old Anna who has been recorded in emergencydepartment of local hospital. The essay will help in analysing role of nurse to deliver appreciatemedication services to girl which will be concerned with IV intravenous, triple IV antibiotics,controlled analgesia. Thus, it will evaluate nursing care according to case with the help of growthand developmental theories, effects of hospitalisation and family centred care.MAIN BODYAnna, who is a 10 year old girl is admitted in emergency department due to iliac fossapain which is a surgical problem. The most common disorder related to surgery is acute pain.With further check-ups in emergency department it has been detected that signs and symptoms ofAnna are related to appendicitis, which is condition appendix get filled with pus and becomeinflamed which causes severe pain. The pathophysiology related to Appendicitis is acuteabdominal pain and reddened appendix. Due to increasing pain and redness Anna was taken forappendectomy which is surgery where appendix has been removed. It is an emergency procedureand is only conducted at the time of acute Appendicitis. However, infections are common in caseof iliac fossa pain and therefore it is important for the nurse to make proper precaution for givingmedication and for allowing family to meet Anna. Apart from this, appendicitis is a situationwhich causes severe complication and pain which can be life threatening for patients. It is thesituation where Anna require urgent surgery because in this condition the where the person startsfeeling sudden pain in lower abdomen on right side (Appendicitis, 2017). It begins from navel and end up that turning serious in lower abdomen and worsenedwhen patients starts vomiting. Sense of emergency in care Anna can be abdominal bloating, lowgrade fever, acute pain and loss of appetite. After the surgery she has been found gangrenousperforated appendix with peritonitis which is life threading situation of person suffering fromAppendicitis. This was the situation where Anna was suffering from lack of blood to appendixwhich leads to death. Apparently, peritonitis is the situation which reflects ruptured appendixwhere tissue lines of abdominal wall turns red. Thus, in accordance, disorders of Peritonitis areclear and denotes severe abdominal pain, heavy abdominal ache, nausea and poor appetite1
