BMP3003 Further Academic Skills
Academic integrity is important at University because of various reasons such as
academic integrity is one of the basics in the form of learning and teaching along
with the research at the University so that the students can understand the ethics
and misconduct and can perform the right things. Academic integrity contains
the ongoing fostering which consists of the complications in networks in terms of
strategies and accountability in the university and therefore it helps in reducing
the complications so that the students can follow ethics and reduce the
misconduct (Medway, Roper and Gillooly, 2018). It is important for the university
to make a commitment with the education approach in terms of academic
integrity so that it can be recognized that the students are required to get
supported in terms of development and demonstrating the academic skills with
the help of the maintenance of academic integrity. Academic integrity permits
the staff and the students of the university to avail the freedom in building new
ideas and creativity along with the innovation which is followed by knowledge
and skills in context of acknowledging and respecting the work of others as well.
Academic integrity helps the university in making the response against the
academic misconduct in context fair and consistent along with the transparent
and timely manner so that the students can follow the right path while doing
their assignments and make uniqueness in their content (Sultana, 2018).
Academic integrity supports the university in making sure that the records of
research and results are kept in a safe and secure manner which are confidential
in nature as per the needs and requirements of the privacy policy and the records
management policy. Academic integrity assists the university in making sure that
they will focus on the regular cycle of the quality improvement in order to
monitor and evaluate the occurrence and nature of the instances of academic
misconduct along with the action taken in order to address the different types of
causes associated with it. Academic integrity has helped the students and staff to
take relevant steps to make sure that the arrangements of academic integrity are
maintained in the context of any collaborative partner so that the image and
reputation of the organization can be maintained in the industry with better
ethics and values (Levine and Pazdernik, 2018).
An explanation of why academic
integrity at University is so important
Game Design Skills used to produce the game
Microsoft PowerPoint is one of the skills which is used to produce the
game because the presentation of the game is done on the
PowerPoint with good attractive content so that the attention could
be paid by the other staff and students as well and they can make the
interest in the game. Academy is another skill which is used to
produce the game because the content which is added in the game
such as the statements on the academic integrity and plagiarism
misconduct are all the part of academy and it is important to gain the
knowledge about it in order to create the game. Research is also one
of the skills used to produce the game because there are a lot of
research which is required to make because the investigation is
important to produce the game about the instructions and what can
also be added in the game. Paraphrasing is also another skill used to
produce the game because the statements which are added in the
game are not accurate and are required to be paraphrased with good
vocabulary and language in a correct manner so that the students
reading out can understand in an appropriate manner. Writing it is
one of the skills used to produce the game because the game is
formulated in context of academic misconduct and integrity and
therefore it highly requires the quality content written in it for better
explanation to the student about the motive of the game (Peled,
Eshet, Barczyk and Grinautski, 2019). Organizing is another skill used
to produce the game because there are a lot of students which are
required to get organized and therefore a group of 10 students are
taken at a time so that better organizing and management can be
performed. Designing is also one of the skills used to produce the
game because the designing of the whole game from starting to the
end requires good creativity and well designed steps to play the game
with each and every student so that innovating the designing with
creativity could take place.

Game designed to reduce misconduct and plagiarism along with increasing integrity among
students in the university. Name of the game is passing the parcel. In which the parcel is in the
form of a box which will be containing the various chits in which different types of topics are
written for the students in context of misconduct and plagiarism along with the integrity. There
will be a group of 10 students at a time and they will be sitting in the alphabetical order in order
to reduce any complications among students. There are a limited number of students involved so
that the game can be easier to conduct and play by the students as well in a comfortable manner.
The box which is containing the different types of chits with various topics of plagiarism and
misconduct at the University will be circulating among the ten students sitting in the circular form
and the music will be played from behind and each student will pass the box or parcel one by one
to the preceding student (Cronan, Mullins and Douglas, 2018). The students have to pass the box
until the music stops behind them and once the music stops then they have to stop passing the
parcel and whosoever student will have the last box will have to pick up the chit with no cheating
and no arguments. The student who got the box and who is opening the chit have to read loudly
whatever is written in the chit because the paper will be containing all the topics of plagiarism
and misconduct along with the integrity at the University which is important for the Students to
learn. After reading of the statements written in the paper then the students have to express or
depict the statements written in the chit in at least two minutes, it is important for the student to
perform for better understanding of the statements and either they can use the speech or act as
per the needs and requirements of the statements. After the performance of the student who is
performing as per the statements written then the other 9 students will rate the act of the
student out of 10 as per the judgement of other students and how well the student has
performed and have correctly depicted the statement (Huberts, 2018). Talking about the passing
points in total, it will be 80 out of 90 which means that minimum the student required 8 points
out of 10 from each student available in the group. judgement will be dependent on the
performance of the student without any partiality and complications because the teacher will
monitor all these activities. If the student passed in its performance and gained at least 80 out of
hundred marks, then he will definitely receive the reward from the teacher for good performance
and better understanding of the topic in order to fulfill the motive of the game. If the student fails
in its performance and gains less than 80 out of hundred marks, then the student will not receive
any reward from the teacher and moreover the student has to perform again with another
picking up of the chit and acting again on different statements so that they can act in a better way
(Vehviläinen, Löfström and Nevgi, 2018). After completion of the game, each and every student
who will get the maximum marks will get the prices as per the ranking of first, second and third
numbers and other student will get a participation certificate who get less marks but passed the
act with the minimum marks requirement. This will help each and every student to perform best
in order to get the reward because it is a type of motivation to learn and better understand the
topic associated with the game and also the intention of the game will also be fulfilled.
