INTRODUCTION Academic integrity is the core set of principles as well as values that guide responsible and honest educational decisions. The concept of academic integrity permits teachers and learners the freedom for developing new ideas, creative works and knowledge while respecting as well as acknowledging the work of others. This report is based on two sections in which the first section is about the description of academic integrity and its importance in higher education. Alongwithit, thissectionalsoincludestheimplicationoftheacademicmisconduct (Brandlistuen and et.al, 2020). The second section of this report consists of the reflection on the steps taken to design the game along with the difficulties occurred in producing the game. Furthermore, there will be a reflection on the skills that helped in designing the game. MAIN BODY SECTION 1 An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity The academic integrity plays an important role in the life of an individual by developing a good approach in academics. It is also crucial for a candidate to develop effective planning in order to develop academic integrity for long term and systematic growth of an individual. Concept of academic integrity is practised by famous institutions and universities for systematic development of students. In the academic integrity, it is important to focus on all dimensions of discipline for gaining desired growth in career related life. In the academic life also, application of academic integrity plays a vital and significant growth of a person. Major institutions in academic field implement academic integrity in a sustainable manner for effective personality development of a student. The art of academic integrity also helps a student to focus on major areas of academic development(Broders, 2020). Academic integrity also helps a student to develop ethical and social values in social life which is mostly important. The academic integrity also supports an individual to focus on career and professional goals. In the academic life of an individual, it is a major opportunity available to a student to practice academic integrity in a systematic manner. The academic integrity is practised in major institutions of United Kingdom in order to develop values and effective behaviour in students. Application of academic integrity also helps a person to develop different lifestyle related routines for management of day to day
academic tasks. The application of academic integrity is a precise approach for students in academic life which helps in overall growth and profession. Academic integrity is the ethical policy of academics and is the expectation to act with trust, fairness, honesty, respect and responsibility for all the teachers, students, researchers and all members of the academic community. There are five pillars of Academic integrity and these are honesty, fairness, trust, respect and responsibility(Flaherty and Taylor, 2021). Honesty means to carry out activitieswith strong sense of fairness and justice without cheating, plagiarism, lying, collusion, misconduct, and duplication of work. Fairness means that every individual should believe that everyone will be treated equally and fairly as all others in the community. It goes hand in hand with trust. Trust means that everyone can trust your work and your values and people present their work and themselves without any deception. Respect means to follow the assignment instructions respectfully, actively participate in learning and showing interest to gain new knowledge and contributing your thoughts towards the work. Responsibility means that all the students are responsible to ensure the integrity of their own work and they shouldseektheinstructionsandguidanceoftheirsupervisorstoavoidplagiarismand unauthorized access. A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher education Intheprofessionalandacademiclife, academicintegrityplaysamajorrolein development of a candidate. It helps and supports a student to develop academic discipline which is major requirement of every institution. The academic integrity and its application also develop a good approach for a person in order to achieve different personal goals and objectives. Furthermore, the importance of academic integrity is mentioned below: Individual growth- The growth of individual in career and academic life is majorly facilitated by academic integrity(Gallagher and Maguire, 2018). It also helps a person to achieve career related goals and objectives for increasing value of a student. It is also essential for an institution to focus on developing a precise plan which helps in developing academic integrity in a set period of time. Development of dynamic personality-Application of academic integrity also helps a student to develop versatile and dynamic personality. This leads to develop a competency edge in personal and professional life of an individual. The major successful institution focus on developing effective and dynamic personality of students by taking help and support of academic integrity (Hopkins and Reid, 2018).In the development of effectiveness in students, it is important to consider academic integrity in a practical manner. This will majorly help a student to also establish and achieve various short and long term goals in career related life. ď‚·Promote scientific progress:Academic integrity is important because higher education benefit when colleges and university have standards of integrity that promote scientific progress and fosters the foundation for a vibrant academic life. Academic integrity in higher education protects a college or school's reputation through honesty expectations. It is important to defend the academic credibility and the reputation of the university. A student of college or school is responsible to maintain integrity towards the culture of school and college. It enables students and staff to develop with skills, artistic works and innovative concepts so that they can perform their task without any plagiarism. Discuss the implications of academic misconduct Academic misconduct is an action or attempted action that may result in an unfair advantage for oneself or an unfair academic advantage or disadvantage for any other members of the academic community. It includes cheating, altering academic documents, gaining access to the academic documents before they are intended to be available, disturbance in the classroom etc.Academic misconduct can have an effect on an institute's reputation, i.e. one of the most important assets(Jumani and Mahar, 2019). It can leads to suspension or expulsion from the Institute. The implications of academic misconduct are as under: ď‚·Impact on personality development: Students who cheat and at first get away with it may, in the long run feel guilty and suffer from low self-esteem. This loss of self-respect will lead to other problems such as difficulty with their careers, families etc. ď‚·Goodwill and reputation of student: Misconduct will completely destroy the reputation of the student who is involved in such misconduct. Further there is a possibility that such
student will not be able to get admission in any other university or collage due to such act. ď‚·Impact on whole institution:For any college or institution reputation plays a key role. An institution affected by cheating, scandals etc. may become less attractive to the potential donors, students and the prospective employers. ď‚·Impact on growth of a student: Student who is involved in such an activity even once are more likely to engage in it in future also , potentially it will lead them on the road of dishonesty. This act not only ruins the reputation of the institution but also affects the other students that results in loss of opportunity in future(Ledbetter-Cho and et.al, 2018). Because of this all other students those do not cheat, also negatively affected by the academic misconduct. SECTION 2 Reflect on the steps that have taken to produce the game and difficulties encountered in the producing the game To produce the game of software that helps in detecting the plagiarism, various steps are taken into consideration. First of all, general analysis has been conducted regarding the software and requirements for the things that are to be designed are sourced up in this step. After the requirements have been collected, an analysis of the conditions has been done. The next step taken is designing the software and in this step the creation of the software design from the requirements documentation ensues. After designing it, the next step was the stage of coding as well as implementation. Once the development team had the requirement specification and the design the documents in hand, the software developers has started programming. The next taken in the process of game design was the testing after the coding and implementation. In this step, the team of software developers has proceeded to integration as well as validation testing of the software(Lichtinger, 2018). These are some of the steps that have been taken to produce the game which is based on an online platform where stable internet connection is required to avoid the plagiarism. However, during the process of producing the game, some difficulties were encountered that create a barrier in the process of designing the game. The primary difficulty which was faced in the process of game design was that the resources associated with information technology
were limited to execute the project effectively. This hindrance brings down the productivity as well as performance of software development teams and also impacts the overall result. Another difficulty which was encountered while producing the game was of time management. Software development is a time-game and developers work under the pressurized environment as well as strive for completion of the game requirements within strict and scanty timelines. While designing the game, time for particular activities in the process was not managed properly due to which it took more time to be ready(Muratori and et.al, 2019). Lack of knowledge of information technology was the other problem which has been faced in the process of game design as without having proper and accurate knowledge regarding latest technology, it was difficult to manage the cost and time. These are some of the difficulties that have been encountered in the process of game design and created a barrier during the process. Reflect on the skills those emphasized on producing the game For producing the game, various skills were used that helped in the completion of the process. The skills that are used to produce the game are researching skills, creativity skills, presentation skills, writing skills and many more. With the help of researching skills, problems are identified, important informational resources are collected that helped in addressing the problems. In this process, problem-solving skills are also developed in this academic year. Creativity skills also have been learnt that helped in turning new and innovative ideas into reality and facilitated in designing new aspects on existing ones. In the process of designing the game, presentation skills also played a major role as it enhanced the concept of software and facilitated in understanding the message as well as arousing reactions in the audience. This skill helped in transmitting the message in a clear-defined way. In the process of game producing, writing skills helped in equipping the persons with communication as well as analytical thinking. This skill made the thinking and learning permanent as well as visible(Rasheed and et.al, 2020). It has fostered the ability to explain along with refined ideas to others and ourselves. These are the skills that have been learnt this academic year and those emphasized on designing the game in an effective way. CONCLUSION From above explanation of the report, it has been concluded that academic integrity plays a major role in academic field as it involves research, learning and teaching. This concept is about

freedom as well as liberty which is given to everyone concerned with the academic field in terms of innovations as well as creation of new things. In this report, the concept of academic integrity has been discussed along with its importance in higher education. Along with it, the implications of academic misconduct have also been discussed in this report. Furthermore, steps have been considered that have taken in producing the game along with the difficulties encountered during the process as well as the skills those emphasized on producing the game.
