INTRODUCTION
The academic integrity is defined as the process of doing academic work with honesty
and following value and ethics. It is the process of doing any work with utmost faith and fairness
with the use of any kind of unfair practices. The main focus of academic integrity is to create a
fair honest academic environment, avoiding any kind unfair and dishonesty while doing the
academic work. Use of academic is very important in order to avoid any plagiarism and
academic misconduct. Academic misconduct leads to the use of unfair practices while doing the
work, also can be copying of others work. In order to avoid such kind of practices academic
integrity becomes very important. This report covers the the detailed description of academic
integrity with its importance in the higher education and also the implication of academic
misconduct is highlighted in this report. In addition to this various skills which helps in
enhancing the performance of the individual learned this year is also explained in this report.

Description of academic integrity
The academic integrity is defined as the process of using fair and honest practices in the
academic work, integrity stands for fairness, honesty, loyalty (Chenxi, 2017). Using of honest
practices while doing the academic work can help him in presenting the authenticity in their
work. Use of any kind of unfair practices in the academic work can lead to the punishment
sometimes, so it becomes very important for any individual to effectively measure their
academic work, do it with full honesty. Academic integrity simply define as the use of values
while doing their work. Internation Centre for Academic Integrity is implemented for that
promote the value of academic integrity for the people who are connected to the educational
industries such as students, professors, faculties and so on.
Benefits of academic integrity in higher education
The academic integrity plays an very important role in effectively carrying out the
academic work. The various benefits of academic integrity in higher education are as follow:
 It allow academic institute to maintain their reputation as if there is any kind of
misconduct happing in the institute it will lead to effecting their image and impacting
their institute value, so in such case academic integrity plays an important role (Glenn,
2019).
