The Academicintegrity creates a moral attitude of all the people towards the institution. This helps in managing the standard in all the institutional areas and helps in reflecting values. This also promotes the major method in which the students can also be protected from all the misconduct. There is been provided that all the students will be protected from any kind of misconduct and this will generate a reflective nature and a balance between all the members and their working (Eaton, 2020). It provides appreciation to all the right employees who are working under them. This means that all those students who are giving their full dedication will get credits for their work. Section 2 Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in producing the game for Project 2 In today’s time, it is essential to provide protection to the academic integrity as education has taken great level of importance nowadays. It is aimed to protect the goodwill as well as dignity of academics and academicians. At present, due to academic misconduct, there has been huge impact on the academics which involves plagiarism especially. So in order to prevent this and maintain academic integrity in working, an idea popped up in my mind which is aimed to protect integrity in academics. An idea which is being analyzed by me was to just produce a game so that the students can learn to prevent academic misconduct. After making analysis of the idea, I made a decision to produce a game that can prevent or avoid plagiarism from academics. From my perspective, the idea which came into my mind is best to spread the awareness among students about how bad influence of misconduct can harm the academic writing and it also assist in being aware of the importance of the academic integrity. After scrutinizing my ideas, I decided to choose the best out of all, so from all my ideas, I decided to go on with an idea which as to produce the game. Tone difficulty which I faced during this step was to finalize the game as I have two- three options in my mind and out of all, I
decided to go on with the game, namely, QUIZ. After making decision on game, I started to gather information on the benefits of academic integrity so that the students can learn its importance by way of fun game. This game is aimed to assess knowledge of player in relation to plagiarism as well as academic misconduct and also restrict the students from adopting any kind of unethical practices or means during their academic time. Then after assessing information on importance of academic integrity, I game across to design the game so I decided to give my game some online touch wherein the students were required to log in into the portal in order to answer the questions which relates to academic integrity. Likewise, from these steps, the game was designed effectively. While producing game, there were many difficulties which were faced by me which included the following- The biggest challenge while producing game was to prepare the outline of the design of game as I wanted something which can attract the users and describe whole concept effectively to make students understand its importance. The next challenge was to produce the pool of questions as it is the foundation of whole game. So this is the most difficult task. I prepared questions in huge numbers and choosing the best out of all was the difficult task. Another difficulty was relating to assembling the game as it is must be done in such a way that the importance of the academic integrity is reflected in the game. The structure of the game must be such which conveys the message of prevention of the plagiarism from academic writing and upholding integrity in it. Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year and those emphasized in producing your game There are different set of skills which has been used as well as learned while producing this game which included the following- Creativity skill: This skill has helped me making the game more attractive as I used this skill while sketching the idea and designing the graphics of the game. This skill has been enhanced while producing this game as I have broadened and widen my scope in order to make effective game. Computer skill:This is such a skill which I lacked the most but while producing this game, I came across an opportunity to develop and learn it as I used this ability to design graphics as well as preparing the whole lot of game.
Academic knowledge: This has been enhanced by me while learning the importance of academic integrity as it is essential to have academic knowledge of the concept on which the whole game is based on. Organizing and designing skills: It is the most essential skill which has been learned by me and was the most important one as it helped me in assembling my ideas, questions as well as designing of the game. This skill has also helped me in preparing the steps which are being taken to play the game. Designing has played an important role during the production of game as I learnt to make its graphics attractive. Research skills: It is a foremost skill which has helped me making the foundation of the game. I learnt this skill as it was used while gathering information on importance of academic integrity as well as while preparing question. Hence, this whole game involved research skill. Conclusion It is concluded from the above report that, academic integrity helps to manage the ethical and the moral standard of the institutions and also built trust and motivation in the students. Their main aim is to manage student with proper transparency, trust and also with equality. The teachers and the students should focus on applying academic integrity in their behavior. Academic misconduct is the misleading practices which are made by the students in order to gain more marks that can be done through cheating, plagiarism and many more. Furthermore, it can also be seen that the plagiarism can be removed from certain games so as to make the work and the general methods easy.
