INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity is related to the commitment of morality, demonstration as well as honesty in
behaviour to perform academic work with efficiency and effectiveness. There are various unethical
actions are performed by the students such as cheating, plagiarism with the objective of gaining some
unfair advantages over other students. These misconducts impact student performance and efficiency.
Universities formed various rules and regulation to take actions towards these misconducts such as
reducing students’ marks, giving them punishment and others. It is very important for the students to
maintain academic integrity in their academic work that enable them to accomplish determined goals
and objectives with define code of conduct. This report is covered in two sections, in first section
description of academic integrity, its importance of higher education as well as implications of
academic misconduct. In second section step of game and difficulties that are encounter during the
process are explained. Along with that, different skills and competencies that are used in designing
and developing game are explained in this project report.
Section 1
An Introduction of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is the ethical practice and approach that is related to academics in which
students, teachers and other staff members are expected to perform their task and actions with
great honestly, respect, fairness, trust and responsibilities that enhances their performance and
efficiency. It is the moral code of conduct and ethical policies that must ne followed by the
students to get higher grades and improve working performance. Academic integrity helps
students to improve their moral values and learning through avoiding some unfair activities such
as cheating, plagiarism and other mis conductive activities (Baporikar, 2017). It facilitates
students through maintaining academic standards and morale in their work. Academic institution
or universities paid attention towards implementing the concept of academic integrity. Breaking
aspects of academic integrity is defined as the academic misconduct or academic dishonesty.
There are various shared values and norms of behaviour are formulated by the universities to
prevent the unethical activities and actions. All these values consist some aspects such as being
fair to others, follow all instructions to perform academic task in efficient manner and take
responsibility of their own work with the objective of gaining higher outcome.

A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher education
Universities have various responsible such as provide quality education to students, enhances
students’ knowledge and understanding regarding academic integrity as well as take strict actions
towards academic misconduct that are performed by student in their academic work. Academic
integrity facilitates university through managing teaching, students learning and research in
effective manner (Bretag, 2019). There are various important activities of university such as
creating, sharing, transmitting as well as providing effective knowledge to student through using
academic integrity. Some importance of academic integrity in university or higher education are
mentioned below:
 Academic integrity helps teachers to improve their teaching skills and provide better
learning to students so they can attain success in their future. It is important for teachers
to become fair at the time of measuring students’ performance and provide them relevant
marks as per their performance level.
 Academic integrity enables university to provide quality learning, values and knowledge
to students and motivate them to perform their academic work with great honestly,
respect, fairness, trust and responsibility. Execution of these values enhances overall
performance of students and enable them to attain future goals and objectives with
efficiency.
 Through implementing the concept of academic integrity university take strict actions
against the unfair activities and misconducts that are performed by students and other
staff members in university. It helps university to maintain reputation of university and
provide batter value to students in their higher education.
 Academic integrity enables students to accomplish their educational or professional
degree with efficiency that reflects their achievement in their higher education.
 The concept of academic integrity facilitates students through improving their skills and
competencies that help them to perform their present and future work in efficient manner.
Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct is related the unfair actions and activities that are undertake by the student
with the objective of gaining certain advantages over other students or person through cheating
their work that become disadvantage for them (Bygrave, Aşık, 2019). These unfair and mis
conductive activities includes plagiarisms, alternating academic documents as well as cheating

other work. Conducting these activities creates various serious misconducts that impact directly
on students present as well as future performance. Some implications are mentioned below:
Cheating: Cheating is the most common type of academic misconduct that reflects
dishonesty, fraud and other activities such as stealing others person work without acknowledging
them. Communicating answers in examination and copying others work also the example of
cheating (Tsigaros, and Fesakis, 2020). There are various rules and regulations are formulated by
the university regarding the activities of cheating. If students are caught to cheat other work than
they will be punished for that, and it impact on their overall performance and career.
Plagiarism: Plagiarism is another mis conductive activity that is related to use the work
that is done by other with their permission or acknowledging them. Students presents others
work and submit it as their own. In the process of completing assignment and preparing projects,
most of students uses other students’ ideas, work, insight and informing and acknowledging
them. It is very important for the university to take actions against these students and punish
them for such activities (Cleary, and Sayers, 2017). Presenting other work reduces students own
capability to perform with efficiency as well as impact on their career too because they have
cleared exam without having skills and competencies. To prevent own self from these
implications, it is important for the student to consider the name of author, provide appropriate
references and other refer other details to enhances authenticity of academic work. As plagiarism
is the most effective misconduct that affect students overall academic career because they can be
rusticated for such actions.
Presenting false information: Sometimes students represent wrong data and information in
completing their assignments which is another type of academic misconduct. It is related to
fabricating as well as alteration of data in appropriate manner that impact own and others
knowledge and learning. University take actions against these activities and punish students for
that impacts on their academic work and career objectives (Eaton, 2020). It is important for the
university to encourage adopt academic integrity that help them to gain various career
opportunities and maintain their dignity in institution.

Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in producing the game
The game is related to identify and remove the activities of plagiarism from the academic work
that enhances the integrity as well as reducing the misconducts. I have taken various steps for
producing the game that help us to lead our operations in right direction. Production of the game,
helped me to gain various skills and improve the knowledge regarding academic integrity.
Academic integrity is considered as the inculcation of fair and ethical academic practices. The
main objective of developing game is to eliminating the activities of plagiarism and collusion
(Gervais, 2018). The game is bases of question-and-answer round through which final result has
been analysed. In this game student are divided into three teams and each team have chance to
appear for the round. Three questions are asked to each team and on correct answer 10 point are
provided. At the last of game scores of all teams are announced and winner is declared. “Round
Board” is the name of game.
In the process of game development, I and other team members faces various difficulties
and problems with interacting with each other because all members have different point of views
and opinions. The game is related to avoiding plagiarism and enhances knowledge and
understanding regarding academic misconducts. Availability of financial resources, technical
assistance are some problem that are faced by me during game production (Hanbidge, Tin, and
Tsang, 2018). There are specific time period is decided on which the game must be completed
that created problem regarding managing time in proper manner. There are various questions are
asked to students so selection of appropriate sources is also the biggest challenge and problem
that is faced by me as well as other group members.
Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year
In the process of developing and designing new game, we have faced various difficulties and
issues that impact on overall performance and efficiency. I have analysed that in academic year, I
have learned skills, competencies that helps me to become more efficient and handle all difficult
situation and problems in proper manner. I have gained various theoretical and practical
knowledge and understanding regarding academic work that also help me in the process of
developing game for removing plagiarism (Kolski, 2020). Development of skills helps an
individual to handle current situation as well as gain future opportunities as well. Some skills that
are developed in me in my academic year and that help me in designing and developing game are
mentioned below:

Communication skills: It is considered as the most important skill that I have learned during
my academic year as well as it helped me in developing of game. Through effective
communication skill, I have written game instruction properly and communicate all data and
other related information to others. It helps me to communication with confidence to others.
Creativity: In my academic assignment and project, I paid attention towards completing my
assignment in most creative manner that differentiate my work with others (Nearing, 2020). The
skill of creativity and innovativeness helps me in develop game as well because I have come
with innovative and creative ideas for designing game that improves its efficiency and
uniqueness.
Time management: In my academic year, I have prepared time-schedule that includes all
work and specific time in which task must be completed. In my academic session, I have to
attended various class as well as need to complete assignment so time management help me to
complete all these tasks on time with efficiency. In the process of developing game, it help me to
manage all activities of game according to time and complete them with efficiency that helps to
gain desirable outcome.
Teamwork: It is another skill that help me to develop and design game that avoid plagiarism
from academic work. I have worked in team with higher coordination that help me to understand
other point of view and perform accordingly (Pangestu, and Karnalim, 2021). I have learned this
skill in my academics when assignment and projects are assigned in group.
Critical thinking: Critical thinking is very important skill that help me to analyse the
situations that are raised in game developing process than develop effective planning and
strategy to handle all these obstacles in efficient manner. I have concentrated towards situation
than think it from various perspectives that improve efficiency and effectiveness of game.
CONCUSION
As per above report, it can be concluded that uses the aspects of academic integrity is most
essential thing for student to perform well in their higher education and attain all desirable
academic and career goals with efficiency and effectiveness. There are various values or
principle of academic integrity that must be followed by the student in their academic work such
as honesty, respect, responsibility, trust and others that enable them to perform their work with
higher efficiency and effectiveness. Students also conduct some activities in order to gain unfair
advantages that impact on their knowledge and capabilities. Universities take serious actions

against these misconducts and promote academic integrity in higher education. During the
academics, students learn various skills, competencies and knowledge that help them to perform
their present and future actions with great efficiency and effectiveness.
