INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity is related to the commitment of morality, demonstration as well as honesty in
behaviour to perform academic work with efficiency and effectiveness. There are various unethical
actions are performed by the students such as cheating, plagiarism with the objective of gaining some
unfair advantages over other students. These misconducts impact student performance and efficiency.
Universities formed various rules and regulation to take actions towards these misconducts such as
reducing students’ marks, giving them punishment and others. It is very important for the students to
maintain academic integrity in their academic work that enable them to accomplish determined goals
and objectives with define code of conduct. This report is covered in two sections, in first section
description of academic integrity, its importance of higher education as well as implications of
academic misconduct. In second section step of game and difficulties that are encounter during the
process are explained. Along with that, different skills and competencies that are used in designing
and developing game are explained in this project report.
Section 1
An Introduction of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is the ethical practice and approach that is related to academics in which
students, teachers and other staff members are expected to perform their task and actions with
great honestly, respect, fairness, trust and responsibilities that enhances their performance and
efficiency. It is the moral code of conduct and ethical policies that must ne followed by the
students to get higher grades and improve working performance. Academic integrity helps
students to improve their moral values and learning through avoiding some unfair activities such
as cheating, plagiarism and other mis conductive activities (Baporikar, 2017). It facilitates
students through maintaining academic standards and morale in their work. Academic institution
or universities paid attention towards implementing the concept of academic integrity. Breaking
aspects of academic integrity is defined as the academic misconduct or academic dishonesty.
There are various shared values and norms of behaviour are formulated by the universities to
prevent the unethical activities and actions. All these values consist some aspects such as being
fair to others, follow all instructions to perform academic task in efficient manner and take
responsibility of their own work with the objective of gaining higher outcome.
