INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity refers to the ethical values of an academy and university as the expectations
that students, teachers and all the persons of the academy act with fairness, trust, honesty
responsibility and respect. Through academic integrity every student and staff member have
freedom to develop creative ideas, innovative works and knowledge while regarding the work of
other persons (Ives and Kier, 2021). It means using these norms into practise by being fair and
honest to university and their members and take responsibility for using and conducting
appropriate information’s. For avoiding academic misconduct such as dishonest behaviour and
falsification it is necessary to promote and support academic integrity. This report is all about the
academic integrity, importance of academic integrity and implications of academic misconduct
further it reflect the steps, difficulties and skills which learned in producing the game foe
assignment.
SECTION 1
An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity means taking ethical and right decisions, follow instructions properly and
asking questions related to work. It refers to the moral policy of an academy and university that
people are completely fair and honest with their work and did not cheat and copy with the work
of others. It means using these norms into practise by being fair and honest to university and
their members and take responsibility for using and conducting appropriate informations.
Through academic integrity every student and staff member have freedom to develop creative
ideas, innovative works and knowledge while regarding the work of other persons (Çelik and
Lancaster, 2021). Academic integrity is referring to the commitment to five fundamental beliefs
such as fairness, honesty, respect, trust and responsibility.
Honesty: Honesty is the base of learning, teaching, service and research it is essential
that every student work with honesty and submit their work and practise according with
syllabus and institution norms. It also required to institution and their faculty to be honest
with each other and students.
Trust: Trust refers to the faith on words and actions of the people which built over time
with experience. Students develop trust by doing their work which is genuine and honest

and faculty develop trust by clearly communicate the guidelines of assignments and
assigning work to student with timely and equitable manner.
Fairness: It is essential to evaluate accuracy and fairness in the education process. Every
person should think that they will be judged and treated fairly by the others. It involves
transparency, clarity, impartiality and predictability. For student’s act with fairness means
do their own work properly, correctly acknowledge the work of other students and
maintain and respect academic policies (Griffith, 2021). Also faculty members have to
fair with students and organizations when they clearly communicate and consistently
respond to dishonesty.
Respect: Respect refers to the feel and show honour for someone and it is reciprocal.
Students give respect to teacher and other by listening their point of view, attending class
on time and do their best in class. Also faculty give respect to students and other faculty
members by listening their ideas and acknowledging their efforts.
Responsibility: It means accountable for their behaviour and actions and also take stand
against misconduct and wrongdoing of others. Responsible students are those who follow
instructions and speak out if they feel discomfort and responsible faculty are those who
clearly communicate their courses and policies and take strict against misconducts f
others.
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity plays an important role in the life of students and teachers such as students
learn and develop their skills in the school which help them to build their career and make their
life easier. If students did not perform well and do cheating in their exams, then they are not
learning and put their career in danger. In the academy, students learn and develop their basic
skills and also build the base of their future from which they lead toward their goal it is essential
for every student to learn academic integrity at their schooling time (Nurunnabi and Hossain,
2019). This is the last stage where they can learn ethical behaviour and moral values then after it
they are going to start their professional life where in case they behave unethically and do any
kind of misconduct then they will lose their job. After learning academic integrity students will
become self-dependent and make their own project and assignments with more accuracy and
honesty it helps them to avoid academic misconduct and unethical behaviour like cheating in
