INTRODUCTION
The preparation for success play a key role in development of an individual in the
university based academic life (Ameer, and Othman, 2017). Preparing for success is a major
responsibility of a candidate which will lead to gain different opportunities in the academic as
well as in professional career field. The student should consider development of a portfolio with
a combination of other forms of evidences and academic working together to provide quality
development in academic achievements. A learner should also focus on classroom teaching in a
well defined manner in order to achieve competitive advantage in personal and professional life.
In this assessment there is a summary of 12 key documents which explains choices of
portfolio contents.

SELECTION OF DOCUMENTS
Academic writing
In the academic life, it is very much important for a person to develop academic writing
skills. The academic writing skills are helpful and supportive for a student in development of
knowledge and make it representation. In my opinion, it is crucial for a student to focus on key
academic writing skills to perform well in different examinations. I put emphasis on writing
skills in order to develop quick and accurate results related to academic development. The
student should analyse in depth information related to a subject matter and interpret information
with precise writing skills.
Creative thinking
It is essential in the academic life to focus on development of creative thinking in order to
develop optimum solutions for the problems. The creative thinking is related to development of
brainstorming and thinking aspects to facilitate overall development. I consider that with the help
and support of thinking skills a person can better understand various aspects of different issues
and challenges. I have developed a key approach in solving major problems related to my social
and personal life (Baitinger, and Papenbrock, 2017). I am now a capable person who understands
a situation and finds out an optimum resolution for the same. With the help of creative thinking I
am now also self dependent in order to solve main problems of my academic life.
Critical reading
The critical reading is most important tool which helps a student in evaluating best
outcomes from learning. In critical reading, memory based skills also play an important role in
development of overall knowledge. There are various individuals in academic life, who focus on
critical reading skills in order to gain precise knowledge related to a subject matter. This is also
