AFRICAN AVATION INDUSTRY Aviation Business & Regulatory Environment World's 12% population is in the Africa region, but only 2% population is uses aviation services. This is too less inthecaparisonof otherregion'saviationbusiness. Countries which are comes under the African region are mainly undeveloped, so locals are not able to afford the tickets of airlines. Global passenger traffic flow Global passenger is also too low in the Africa region. Only 14 countries are providing visa facility to arrival out of 54 countries in the Africa region. Currently global passenger traffic flow in Africa region is 5.1% which approx 62.2 million. Size of aviation industry by region The size of the aviation industry is too smaller in the current time butaccording to the IATA (International Air Transportation Association), in the next 20 years the aviation industry of the Africa region will grow very fast, because nowadays many African countries started tobuildtheirconnectionswithmanydeveloped countries in the world. Indications of turnover, profit and loss The turnover is $80 billion of the aviation industry in the African region. It is not much higher according to the population of the Africa region. Key airlines and airports Currently 419 airlines working in the Africa region, and this also has only 731 airports to date. South African Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, and Kenya Airways are some major airline companies in the Africa region. Industry structure to include alliance networks Overall structure of the aviation industry is not much big. There are only few airline companies are only currently working in the African Region. Alliance have been done by South African Airways and Ethiopian Airlines to grow up the aviation industry of the African region.
