Personal and career/profession development includes many integral components of skills, abilities and
knowledge to gain success in the academic and professional career. Personal and professional development
activities are very important for an individual so that they can achieve their desired academic and professional
goals. This presentation will describe various problems or issues of studying business management and
including in professional practice. Along with this, it consists of the benefits of effective academic skills
development in terms of achieving the desired future goals. The importance of effective professional skill
development will also be elaborated for achieving career goals. In the end, the presentation will present
strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats with the help of personal SWOT analysis and explain actions
for overcoming weaknesses.

It has been summarised from the above presentation that there are various challenges that are
faced in studying business management and driving in professional practice like continuously
adjusting to new surroundings, team and group work, socializing and networking, time
management and many more. The importance of effective academic skill development like
time management, research skill, self-discipline, critical thinking has been discussed in the
presentation. Moreover, the importance of effective professional skill development has been
discussed. Finally, the presentation has provided a personal SWOT analysis that identifies a
critical weakness for which an action plan is prepared to improve it.
