Introduction
Professional skills are those career opportunities,
abilities as well as competencies that are used within the
workplace for conducting business operations in an
effective manner. Such skills are a set of both soft and hard
skills that allow an individual in performing different tasks
within the workplace (Berkow, 2019). Academic skills are
those skills that encourage the students and provide
confidence to them in becoming more efficient learners.

Challenges of studying business management
and thriving in professional practice
The key challenges that are faced by a student while studying
business management include:
 Complexity: The complexity is considered as one of the major
challenge that is faced by a student at time of studying business
management (Grieger and Leontyev, 2021).
 Practical aspects: This is another challenge that is faced by a
student while studying business management. It is very significant
for the learner to develop as well as enhance the base of practical
knowledge of the subject for the purpose of chasing competitive
advantage (Javed and et.al., 2021).

The importance of effective academic skills
development
Academic skill is considered as essential skills which gives opportunities to the individuals
in their academic life (Keen, Adams, and Simpson, 2021). This is crucial for a person because it
allows in focussing on the process of developing skills and identifying then solutions to challenges
that arise in academic life of a person. Some of the importance of effective academic skills

The importance of effective professional
skills development
Professional skills are those key skills for a person that permit it in its growth. For the
purpose of developing professional skills, an individual is required to concentrate on
achievement of objectives (Savinova, Sivtseva and Latysheva, 2019). This is very significant for
an individual to develop professional skills for the development of effective career opportunities.

 I have strong team working skills that provide assistance
to me in the process of functioning different activities
within a team or a group in an effective manner for the
purpose of attaining goals as well as objectives

 It is my another weakness that my decision-making skills
are poor that are creating an obstacle for me in the process
of making effective decisions according to situations that
impact my whole performance.
Opportunities Threats
 It is a great opportunity for me to develop leadership
skills within me because it will provide assistance to me
in leading all efforts and actions that are taken by the
team in order to attain goals and objectives in particular
period of time.
 It can be a threat for me that I have less technical skills and
in near future, there will be use if more developed and
updated technologies that may create threat for me because I
would not be having much knowledge of those advanced
technologies.

particular task in a set time period and in an effective and precise
manner.

From above explanation of the existing presentation, it has been concluded that
professional as well as academic skills play a great role in the life of a person. An individual
