Challenges of studying business management and
thriving in professional practice (with appropriate
examples)
A student has to face various challenges while studying business management and
thriving in professional practice. Few of the challenges are mentioned below-
• Adjusting to new surroundings –Various kind of students of business
management help to travel a long distance even they are required to stay far
away from their home to study specific management courses for their better
career. Hence it is difficult for a student and just quickly to a new surrounding
which is far away from their home.
• Nervousness to meet new people- It is essential for a business management
student as well as a business management professional to communicate
effectively with people. Even they are required to conduct meeting with those
people which are unknown to them. Here they need to show confidence and
positive attitude. But most of the people get nervous to communicate to new
people within their surroundings.

• Learn to work in a team- It is an essential foreign business management student to
learn working in a team. It’s quite difficult for those individuals who are introvert in
nature. They are not easily ready for working in a team and committed various
kinds of people in their day-to-day life. The main reason behind their
uncomfortable behaviour at work in a team is because earlier they work alone and
they like to work alone because it’s been in their nature to complete any task alone
with efficiency. Hence no they are asked to work beyond their nature which is
tough for any individual.
• Maintaining personality- Personality plays a very important role for a business
professionals individual. It is a essential for an business professional individualsto
look like a manager and business professional appropriately through their dressing
sense as well as through their behaviour. Hence, maintaining a professional
behaviour is quite difficult because somewhere a individual could be informal
which can reflect their personality.

The importance of effective academic skills development
• It is very important for a student to develop their academic skills and professional
skills in their schools and universities because after their studies they are going to
start their professional life where they are judged through their performance and
skills.
• Even some organisations start recording the performance of their employees at
very early like first day of their employment in the training sessions.
• Another reason for the importance of again don’t official skill learned at
universities and school is that these students will get opportunity to clear their
doubts on the spot through their teacher and the teacher will help them to
understand the things easily.

• Hence it is important that the presentation should be perfectly presented.
Therefore, all these conclude that all the professionals skills will help an individual

STRENGTHS
I am good at communicating skill which is one of the most
important skill for personal and professional development. I
communicate effectively with others and even most of the people
are impressed with my communication skill like the way I share my
point of view and ideas effectively with actual and true facts and
figures to justify the statement.
WEAKNESSES
I’m lacking behind to learn effective problem solving skill Which
is one of the most important skill for a business professional. I
am unable to recognize the issue properly and make appropriate
alternatives of solution to solve that problem. This is important
for me to learn this skill effectively to gain high in my personal
as well as professional life.
OPPORTUNITY
Taking online classes for online courses to develop weak skills
is one of the best opportunity for me to develop my
upcoming professional life. Secondly, it is also a good
opportunity for me to communicate with my teachers and
ask the ways and techniques which I can use to develop my
weak skill. I can attend ladies kind of seminars, business
events.
THREATS
• COVID pandemic is one of the biggest threat for me to
learn skills for my personal and professional
development. Due to COVID I am unable to learn
practical skills and learning through online is tough for
me. Tough competition for business professionals also
plays an important role in creating a big threat for my
aim
One skill that is particularly important, but I am weak at problem solving skill.

Detailed example of the actions that would be
taken to develop skills identified as weakness
in SWOT analysis
• From the SWOT analysis It is identified that I am lagging behind to
gain effective problem solving skills which is one of the most
important professional skill. I communicate my issue with my teacher
and she suggest me few of the solution to learn this skill effectively.
First of all it is a essential for me to analyse the issue that what is the
issue surround me and then I would require to collect information
from my surroundings to understand the depth of the problem. No I
must required to make alternatives of solution to a specific problem
and evaluate their pros and cons. the option which will have more
advantages than its disadvantages could be adopted to solve the
issue.

• I also choose another action to improve my problem solving skill and
which is to solve case studies related to corporate sector. I have chosen to
solve at least two to three case studies everyday which is limited to
corporate sector issues where at the end of each case study there are few
of the questions which is required to solve by me. I did the same and get
the answers checked by my teacher and she can sentence me whether I
understand the business issues mentioned in the case study appropriately
or not while checking my answers. Sometimes I would also require
suggesting some recommendations to solve the issue effectively. I focus to
make innovative and different recommendations which are appropriately
matched to solve the issue mentioned in case study.

• I can also choose coaching method to load this skill where a teacher
who is having expertise in problem solving skills is share his or her
personal experience and techniques to gain this skill effectively which
will help me to develop my personal and professional life. I can choose
various kind of online courses we just needed to specific learning of
problem solving skill only where I can get the opportunity to learn this
skill practically and implement it in real life experience. Attending
various kinds of business seminar and business events conducted by
expertise will help me grab the information related to technique and
ways they use to learn this skill. I need at least 6 to 8 months time
period to learn this skill effectively.

Summary
• From the above information it is concluded that learning various kinds of
employment skills is one of the most ask for a student to develop their
personal as well as professional life effectively. There are various kind of
challenges which can be faced by a student to learn business management
like communicating with new people, adjusting in new surroundings and
many others. It is also concluded that learning academic and professional
skills is one of the most important tasks for a student which is required to
learn at early stages before starting their professional life. It is also
concluded that SWOT analysis is used to identify strengths and weakness of
an individual. It is also concluded from their bond formation that there are
various action which can be performed by an individual to develop their
problem solving skill effectively like solving case studies and many others.
