INTRODUCTION
Business management is the process of organising, Supervising and coordinating the
different business activities and resources in order to accomplished the specific objective.
Special set of skills are required by the employees of an organisation to achieve the set goals of
the company (Cohen, and Eyal, 2021). These skills not only help the managers in coordinating
between resources and employees but also help the organisation to achieve a successful position
in the market. Business management studies help an individual in running their business
efficiently and effectively. This report is going to discuss about the different types of challenges
came in the way of an individual while perusing any business management course. This report
also cover the importance of academic and professional skill along with personal SWOT analysis
and their plan action.
MAIN BODY
Various challenges of studying business management
The study of business management help a student to gain the knowledge and training
about the different functions of business. This comprises marketing, sales, human resource,
finance an d many more. Some of the challenges which are faced by an individual while
pursuing a management course are as follows:-
 Connecting with different people:- while pursuing a management course an individual
enters into a new environment, sometimes it will take time to adjust in the new
environment and to connect with new people. Connecting with different types of people
with different mindset, interest, idea, behaviour, language. This become sometimes
difficult for an individual. They also have to connect with the good people because this
directly affect on the success of an individual (Girven, 2017).
 Effective Time Management:- while studying a business management course time
management came as a important challenge for an individual. Sometimes its become
very difficult for an individual or student to manage all other activities because of the
classes schedule and homework. Due to this hectic schedule, its become difficult for them
to participate in different campus activities and prepare presentation.
 Expenses:- The business management course is very expensive and it is very difficult for
the lower and middle class people to afford these expenses (Mwaniki, 2018). For this,

some students take loan for perusing these courses or some get scholarship for their
studies. Apart from this they have to bear other expenses like rent, travel, food etc. and
for this they do part time job along with their studies to fulfil the financial requirements.
 Learn Team Management:- While perusing any management course or professional
work it is very important for an individual to learn the coordination and team work. In a
team, there are different types of people with different skill, knowledge and behaviour. It
is essential for an individual to develop team work skill because it help in achieving the
set objective. Lack of knowledge and skills about the project directly affect the working
of team.
Importance of effective academic skill development:-
Skills are the habits and talent which not only help an individual to become a successful
person in life bust also help in learning new and innovative things (Williams, and Saunders,
2020). Here, the importance of developing effective academic skill in an individual are as
follows:-
 Boost the confidence:- development of effective academic skill in an individual not only
boost up the self confidence but also make him a positive person. The academic skills
help in achieving the different set of objectives which improves the self confidence of the
person.
 Improves learning skills:- this improves reading and listening power of an individual.
The development of this skill help them in retaining the knowledge and also help in
becoming a good reader because of reading different types of information from different
links.
 Relieve stress:- the effective development of the academic skill in an individual helps in
removing the stress from personal and professional life (England, 2020). Nowadays
stress are very ordinary in modern life. Due to this it is very difficult for an individual to
manage their work, family responsibility and many more things. But with the
development of this skill they can face these challenges.
 Make flexible:- the development of academic skill in an individual help in adopting
different environment which makes him more flexible and reliable (Durga, and Rao,
2018) . This make a person more efficient which help them to work in any workplace.

 Leads to success:- the evaluation of effective academic in an individual helps them in
attaining a successful position in life. The achievements of small objectives in their
studies increasing their self confidence and help them to achieve a successful growth in
life.
Importance of effective professional skill development:-
It is very important for an individual to develop effective professional skills which
improves the ability to do something well. These skills explore the new opportunities by opening
new areas for jobs. Following are the importance of developing professional skill in an
individual:-
 Develop network opportunities:- the development of this skill in an individual or
professional help them in increasing their network by meeting with different types of
people in the same industry (Barnard, Mallaband, and Leder Mackley, 2019). The
development of effective network not only help them in evaluating the different carrier
opportunities but also help in switching the job or move up within the sector.
 Increase efficiency:- these set of skills help in generating different opportunities in an
individual life which not only increases the knowledge but also help the them to gain lots
of experiences. Generating of new and innovating idea in the mind of an individual
improves the efficiency and productivity of doing the task.
 Improves the adaptation power:- different types of professional courses has been
introduced in the market for professional development. These courses came with different
sets of new skills (Benson, and Enström, 2017). So because of these courses its become
easy for an individual to adopt new set of skills which not only motivate them to hard
work but also help them to perform the task with full utilisation resources.
Personal SWOT Analysis:-
The personal SWOT analysis helps in identifying the strengths and weakness of an
individual along with that it also identify the different challenges and opportunities are present
around him.

OPPORTUNITIES
 The development of information
technology skills will act as a good
opportunity for me. Because of the
development of this skill within me
help me to achieve a good and
successful position in life.
 With the support of my family
member, friends and team mates I
can get many opportunities and
chance to become a successful
person in life.
THREATS
 I can't do multiple work at a time. It is
very difficult for me to handle different
types of works at the same time. This is
a biggest threat for me.
 Competition is also act as biggest threat
for me because there are number of
employees who have the same skills,
knowledge and qualification as I have.
They are also enough capable as I am.
These employees came in my in
attaining a successful position.

CONCLUSION
It is concluded that the study of business management plays a very important role for a
student to achieve a successful position in life. A student have to face different types of
challenges like expenses of studies, effective time management, team management and many
more while pursuing management studies. It was also concluded that development of academic
and professional skill in an individual help them to work hard and motivates them to perform the
task with full productivity. Along with this personal SWOT analysis is also done and their action
plan to overcome form the weakness.
