Academic skills are defined as collections of learning
strategies, studying and time management instrument
which assist people to learn all the lessons. These
skills helps students not only during their school or
college time but it assist in future also. The purpose of
the following report is to understand the requirement
of academic and professional development and its
value for professional and personal development.

Challenges of studying business management and
thriving in professional practice (with appropriate

Business management mainly concentrates on planning, coordinating and evaluating a business which is
necessary to manage and conduct a business activities effectively and efficiently. It helps students to understand
what factors makes a company successful and it also assists in knowing what skills and knowledge a person
require to work in business environment. There are many different problems people face while studying
business management which are mentioned below:

• Learning to work as team- One of the many different problems which are faced by students is
when they have to coordinate are working as a team, as every student comes with different mind
set so it is very tough for them to manage and work as a team to a achieve a particular goal.

full and time taking work because of lack of knowledge and inadequate information which
reduces the effectiveness of the students. They also lack relevant, verifiable and authentic data

when to use their skills. The students should also know the importance of academic and profession skill
development. Moreover they should perform their own SWOT analysis which can help in identifying weakness
and threats.
