INTRODUCTION
Business organisations perform several activities prominently performing various actions in
an effective manner. These functions undertake effective planning controlling directing staffing
and so on. In terms of running a successful business organisation it is required to develop
effective staff members who can pursue prominent roles and responsibilities to carry forward
business activities in terms of competition desired goals and objectives (Ghufron and Saleh,
2016). Moreover, workforce planning has always become the prominent business issue for the
whole business industry which is dependent on their work force and their talent to carry forward
the business functions. Besides this in terms of accomplishing suitable goals and objectives it is
essential to perform the workforce planning in smooth manner. To carry forward this report
Marks and Spencer is considered which is the multinational clothing company that deals in wide
variety of production services in various sections including men women and kids. Besides this
company of good deals in food and homeware products. The report covers the prominent issues
of workforce planning and the reaction of company over it. It also prominently provides the
reflection writing and suitable personal development plan.

Workforce planning is a process that leads to undertake suitable identification forecasting
and prominent planning of the workforce considering the demand and supply of the gaps which
are prominently assessed and also tends to target audience by prominent identification by which
company can recruit suitable and dates at the right place with effective skills. Workforce
planning is the measures part of Human Resource Department and development strategies is it
permanently deals with requirements of business which are aligned considered in the need of
workforce for the smooth functioning of an organisation (Fraher and Brandt, 2019). Along with
this considering the Talent based economy employees are considered as the important asset of an
organisation but besides this the factors that company also fail to plan optimise and measure
them according to the effective implement of workforce planning.

their staff members in terms of having prominent recruitment at the right place including the
