INTRODUCTION
Innovation and technology are one of those key elements that utilized in the world of
business and within varied sector such as construction, where they play significant role in varied
terms (Lawluvy, Guo and Wang, 2022). The current report will be based on a specific topic and
that is innovation and technology in the construction industry. It specifies a reflective statement
that covers learning and development of chosen construction management subject and my
learning that I plan to utilize in the future. The assessment also justifies my feeling about
presenting information to peers and clearly define personal development plan which includes
three different academic skills.

Reflection on learning and development procedure of chosen construction management topic.
From chosen topic, I have developed excellent understanding related to technology and
innovation as strategic components that utilized in the construction sector in several manners. In
the recent time, technology as external factor affect each and every industry, whether it is
construction or retail. It may provide a lot of benefits to users, in term of increasing
organizational seep, productivity and operational effectiveness, even better than last few years or
months (Freire and et.al., 2021). From the module, I have learnt the importance of technology in
the chosen sector, where this factor affect positively. It drives the attention of management
toward achieving aims, whether they are long, short or medium terms before or according to set
timelines, which is not that easy for anyone to do so, without facing major issues that affect
negatively upon success factors.
Along with above understanding, I have also comprehended that there are several
technologies utilized in the sector such as drones, mobile devices, etc. which in turn provide a lot
of benefits to an organization that works under construction industry. With these forces, overall
sector may obtain multiple benefits as they make things quite easier to conduct into practical
manner. For example, by using mobile applications, management may take pleasure of tracking
materials delivery and supply easily, instead depending on others who may lack coordinate or
communicate with managers.
I have learned that innovation is a wide term that includes varied practices and activities
as well as improvement procedures that make a product and service valuable for customers of
construction industry. There are different examples of innovation in the world of business
