INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are skills which are related with academics of particular individual while
research silks are connected with searching, evaluating and presenting information in an efficient
and effective manner (Bhatia, 2014). It also involves investigation and critical analysis of a
particular person. These skills are very helpful to all persons as they can easily grow and develop
themselves. Project explains about own strengths and weakness and SMART targets. It further
explains about the oral and written sources and suitable information about them. It also explains
about the methods such as primary or secondary and the targets and ways of achieving these
targets.
TASK 1
I evaluate my own strengths and weakness (Collins, 2017). Thus as a result can take
steps to remove weakness. I can also monitor the opportunities which I can capture and thus I
can also remove the threats by taking appropriate methods and procedures. Hence as a result I
can easily grow myself and can enhance my career. Thus as a result I can easily convert the
weakness into my strength.

reduces my productivity and thus I
cannot give my best in performing my
job.
 I am short tempered and aggressive on
small problems and issues. Thus I
cannot remain calm in all problems. So

my friends and colleagues in small

solve my problems in a better and

 There is an opportunity that I have to
participate in debate competitions and I
have to attend more of seminars and
workshops through which I do not have
any hesitation in peaking with all
people.

TASK 2
I have to convert my weakness into my own strengths. I have to improve my all skills so
that I can easily grow myself. It is very important for my career point of view.
I have to improve my listening skills. This is crucial so that I can easily enhance my
career and thus I can improve myself in better manner. I have attend many seminars and
workshops so that I can listen to views of all people and through this I can easily think of
creative and innovative ideas. This helps me to enhance my career in better and efficient manner.
By listening to views and opinions of all persons I can also create good ideas and can easily
enhance my interactive skills. This helps me in giving speech in various seminars and
workshops. I can also listen views of my friends and my colleagues which also me to think of
different ideas and helps me in mixing with different people. This also helps me to think of new
and innovative ideas.
I have to improve reading skills also through which I can easily enhance my career and
can improve myself. Thus I have to take steps to improve myself and my reading skills. I have
to read latest newspapers and magazines. At the same time I also have to read the online
messages and inspirational books by different famous authors so that I can easily improve
myself. This help me to think of new and creative ideas and thus I can easily improve myself. I
can also watch movies which gives some inspirational and motivational messages in their stories.
This also helps me to think of different and creative ideas which helps me to enhance my career
and myself. Thus I can easily give the presentation and can increase my communication skills.
Hence this helps me to enhance my career in effective manner.
I also have to improve my paraphrasing and summarizing skills. Thus as a result I can
enhance my growth and this leads to development of my career (Krueger, 2014). I have to
paraphrase the information and data so that I can easily enhance the knowledge and skills. Thus

as a result I can easily improve my communication skills. I have to create summary of all stories
or lesson . This helps me in enhancing writing skills. This also helps me in my overall growth
and development (Litosseliti, 2017). I have to keep the information in secret place. Through
summarizing and storing information I can read the information and data at anytime. This helps
me to enhancing m skills. This also leads to improving my performance and my career. This
helps in long rem success and growth in future.
TASK 3
Research plan is a plan which helps in investigating a particular matter. It also includes
evaluating the relevant information and then performing the analysis and findings from the
research. At last certain conclusions are drawn and suggestions are also given to company for
improving their policies and procedures. It can be primary and secondary. It includes different
activities which are described below:
Identification of problem: In this problem and issues are identified. This helps the
company to take appropriate steps to improve that issues and problems. Through this all issues
get solved.
Review literature: In this company have the knowledge about that problem as then only
they can find appropriate solution of that problem. They have to evaluate the past data and
present data so that comparison can be made. This helps the company to find the suitable
problem. So company have to perform detailed analysis of that problem (Wright, 2014).
Clarify the problem: In this company have to easily clarify the issues which are
included in research. For this company has to evaluate the objectives of research. Purpose
determining is crucial as then only company can easily clarify the problem to all workers. This
also helps the firm in creating and developing new ideas as company can give solution of that
idea.
Clearly defining terms and concepts: In this company terms to explains all terms and
concepts which are used in research study. This also helps the firm in determining all terms and
concepts Through this also company can easily solve all problems and issues which are
described in research study.
Defining the population: In this the sample data and the population is mentioned. It is
also crucial so that they can determine the research and find solution (O'Neil, 2014).

Develop instrumentation plan: In this company has to create efficient plans so that
company can find solution of the problem. This includes evaluating information and the person
who is collecting the data or information (Robson and McCartan, 2016).
Collect data: In this data is collected and then analyse the information and data. It is also
crucial step.
Analysing data: In this various statistical techniques are used so that data can be easily
analyse needs and interpreted. This is also the important step.
Primary research: Primary research is a research which is collected for the first time.
Thus as a result they can easily analyse data and information. There are different sources
through which company can collect information. For example company can use surveys,
questionnaire and and interviews. This is the relevant and appropriate method to collect data as
data is reliable and accurate (Wilson, 2017).
Secondary research: In this company collects information which is already collected by
another agency or company. It includes collecting information and data from books and
magazines. Data can also be collected from different Govt. agencies. Thus as a result they can
easily collect the data.
Company can use the primary method to collect the information from all respondents.
TASK 4
Personal development plan is a plans through which individual can easily develop
themselves by enhancing their skills. In this objective is set and performing all activities to
accomplish that target. Performance is evaluated continuously (Veal, 2017).

used so that I can easily improve my reading and listening skills. I also have to improve my
summary and paraphrasing skills. Research plan is created and primary and secondary methods
are explained. In this company selects primary source. Personal development plan is created so
that any person can easily fixed their targets and perform activities to accomplish that target.
