TASK 1
Define the concept of personal and professional development.
The term personal and professional development refers to a force that binds an individual
along with a company to indulge in a process of learning. The concept helps a person as well as
business organisation to fulfil their certain personal as well as professional objectives within a
specific period of time.
Describe and discuss the value of short-term goals identifying at least 3 personal examples.
Short Term goals are defined as a path which is followed by an individual in order to
fulfil its goals that are for short period of time or a way to achieve long term goals. Such goals
are set for a period of less than or equals to 12 months that is one year.
Three personal short term goals examples:
 To hire a better coach who can teach badminton in effective manner with tricks.
 To learn grammar concepts daily in order to enhance English speaking and writing skills.
 To start early morning exercises so to have healthy body and mental peace.
Describe and discuss the value of medium-term goals identifying at least 3 personal examples.
Medium-term goals are those which are set for a period more than short term goals but
are achieved early in comparison to long term goals. Such goals are fulfilled in order to have
support for long term objectives. These goals are set for a period of more than one year (12
months) but less than three years (36 months).
Three personal medium term goals examples:
 To complete a graduation degree in some specialisation with a recognised university.
 To build a house for my family.
 To acquire knowledge and skills of narration from an experienced person.
Describe and discuss the value of long-term goals identifying at least 3 personal examples.
Long term goals are those which are achieved or involves huge time and patience in
accomplishing such goals that is done by lots of planning. Such kind of goals are achieved for a
period of more than three years or up-to maximum period of ten years.
Three personal long term goals examples:

 To commence a business and run by own.
 To attain perfection in field of written communication.
 To achieve award based on my skills and job.
Describe and discuss the value of a Personal Development Plan and construct an example using
your identified goals.
The concept of Personal Development Plan is am scribed document comprising certain
measures or actions which are required to be done by an individual in order to experience some
kind of improvement in its current competences or skills. In respect of this, it can be easily stated
that plan of personal development permits a person to enhance their inner personality in a way to
be a compatible and enough capable to do any type of task no matter what the situation is.

There are four concepts that can be utilised as a source which aims at defining the
reliability and relevance while conducting a research on a specific topic. The sources which are

not relevant or are not suitable for relevancy should not be applied because they will provide
obsolete outcomes that cannot justify the present context.
