INTRODUCTION
Academic skill encourage student or an individual to become an efficient learners and
this also improve morale of learners to enhance confidence for participating among different
course. This also offer valuable perspective outside classroom with enhancing perspective to
gain success in macro environment (Viljaranta and et. al., 2015). Personal development planning
is defined as a process to establish aim and objectives that are required by an individual to
accomplish in their career. This report highlights on detailed plan that describe and discuss role
of personal development planning. In the last, evaluation of source will also included in report
plan that include purpose, author, relevance and reliability aspect.
TASK 1
Concept of personal and professional development
Personal and professional development explicated as a process which lead individual to
learn and formulate method which engage individual efforts among individual and organisation
goal. It helps to improve both aspects including individual personal and professional goals so
plan is recognise as an important area for person.
Value of short term goals with 3 personal examples.
From the perspective of Richard Cleeve, 2018 Goals which is achieved within small
period of months are known as short term goals and it is utilised by me to perform and complete
work soon. Some example of short term goal are mention as follow:
Attending the class- The first goal which is achieved by me relates with attending the
class and it leads me to improve my learning skills. Online learning is a source for
attending the class (Munn and et. al., 2016).
Demonstrate a picture- Another important perspective is to formulate transparent
picture for future for enhancing my career opportunities. Personal growth is another
important feature to achieve success.
Focus on goal- With the term prioritize means organisation adopt method to decide
method which are right and effective for business. Personal power is a major source for
short term goal.

learning work for specific perspective. It encourage individual to go for a single or

individual it is essential for completion of work as per decided strategy. It is a long term
perspective because strategy are complex to formulate. Objective identification is a
source for long term strategy.
To work as industry leader- Another long term goal which is decided by me relates
with enhancing my professional skill (King, Gonzales and Reinke, 2019). Empowerment
is a major source for industry leader.
To learn time management- Time management is an important perspective and this is
also helps me to focus and prioritize all goals in an organised manner. Learning from
daily activities is a major source of time management.
