INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are made up of from basic skills, that is related to writing as well as
presentation skills as well as referencing, which is related to more complex skills. These
academic skills can help in critical thinking as well as assist in doing reflective practice. Apart
from these academic skills is the combination of study habits as well as management tools that
helps in students while studying and to learn and absorb such lesson in an appropriate manner.
However, apart from this when the discussion is about, the personal and professional
development that helps to manage their learning and growth within whole career of learning, that
will help the individual to develop their knowledge and skills up to date and will make sure to
continue work safely legally and in an effective manner (Bommer and Chorba, 2019). Now, in

Describe the concept of Personal and professional development plan
The main aim of personal development plan is to get involve the learners in their
development. This will provide the direct result towards the understanding of workplace as well
a how a good students can act in more appropriate way within the organisation; however, this
belongs to ultimate development of skills and knowledge of students for focusing on their
desired job (Marcos, and et., al,2020). Apart, from this, it will provide more career opportunity
by the help of upgrading the level of skills and knowledge of learners
Describe and discuss the value of short-term goals
The value of short-term goal is fulfilling by students in their nearby future. This will also
refer the short-term objective, that will be accomplished in short time. This is the reason short
term goals will cover more plan, desired goals in short period of time. In order to achieving the
specific targets. As for example the finance students have aim to learn their all-basic financial
term in only 3 months of time.
