Introduction
Academic skills are defined as the talents and habits that could benefit pursuits of academic
these are report writing, communication, research and learning that is used by the investigator in
conducting the reach or making any type of report. It consists of communication, planning,
studying and technique skills that could e used by most of researcher in conducting the report
analysis (Agbo, 2018). Then on the other hand there is a personal development plan which is
made by an individual or a person in order to achieve their gaols and objectives. There are
certain gaols and weakness which an individual should have to achieve in his given period of
time in order to enhance some of the skills and knowledge for his future period so that he could
get more knowledge and be successful in his chosen job position. In this given report it consists
of discussion of personal and professional development plan. As there is an importance and
value of short term, medium term and long term gaols that re to be chosen by myself and with
some of the examples.
Definition of personal and professional development
The idea of personal and professional helps in overseeing different exercises identifying
with upgrading the capacity of a person in learning and development all through particular
vocation of an individual. It gets significant for a person to create and stay up with the latest with
changing patterns on the planet. The major purpose of personal and professional development
plan is that it helps in managing learning and growth of the individual and person career. It is
most essential to learn and enhance skill and knowledge which are up to date and working safely
and legally. Professional development involves developing of person own in the role that could
understand the job in full manner and how they can improve it. Professional development plan
involves enhancing of the various skills and knowledge to carry out their role and responsibilities
in best possible manner (Alam, and et.al., 2019). If it is considered as the effective understanding
of professional development it ensures that area of knowledge and ensuring of the skills are
coming at the highest possible manner. There are some of the examples of professional
development which are accountancy and budgeting, IT training and health and safety.
On the other hand, personal development is thinking about the skills and knowledge and
accomplish their goals and objectives. It can be results in both real life a professional life. It
consists of the improvement in talent and potential at the workplace and organization. It is
