TASK 1 Concept of personal development plan Personal development plan is more like a process contain action plan based on awareness, values, reflection, goal setting and planning related to personal level growth in context of career, education, relationship and self-improvement. The aim of the personal development as a whole concept is to maximises the individual capability as to perform any individual role and responsibility (Suskie, 2018). The term itself indicate that it is about to maximise the individual potential and ability to reach the best level of development possibility. Proper planning, strategies and tactics are followed under the personal development practice so that proper strategic direction can be granted in contexttotheindividualdevelopmentprospect.Theentireconceptofpersonal development plan is segregated into different stages like clearing out the vision at a primary level, outlining strength, weakness, opportunities and threat associated with the personality is the second stage, building up personal development plan is the third stage and to review the performance and adapting changes is the final stage involve under the personal development plan (Sprenger,2018). All the four areas will provide the best level of individual development and growth under the personal development campaign. Value of short term goal Personal development plan associated with different goals that are segregated into short term, medium and long term goals. Short term goals set behind the personal development planning play huge role in deciding operations and strategies to achieve the best level of individual growth under the plan (McMillan and et.al., 2020). This involves different goals like building up a proper routine, keeping daily basis journals, doubling the productivity level, practising daily basis exercises, developing more good habits and other such goals that can be accomplished in a shorter time spam. Short
term goals set the direction of the entire campaign of personal development plan. Leaving bad habits also a part of short term goals formed as an individual (Wentzel, 2020). For example: To enhance my grade by devoting more time as well as efforts in study. To work on my academic skills so that I can learnand grasp information quickly within the class. To learn new things that can contribute in improving my knowledge, skills and capabilities to maximum extend. Value of medium term goal Medium term goals also create a huge value as an individual under the personal development planning conducted at an individual level. They are the goals that are set to expand the outcomes addressed through short term goals and objectives set as an individual. The big emphasis under the medium term goal is over skill development and personality improvement prospect as an individual (Bunce, Baird and Jones, 2017). The skills developed under the medium term goals provide a strategic advantage to meet differentobjectivesasanindividual.Theysetthedirectionoffurtherindividual development aspects set. For example: To improve my academic and professional performance with time-frame of 7-8 months. To get part-time employment in reputable company in order to enhance my existing capabilities. To developed decision-making and problem solving ability in 9 months for bright future ahead. Value of long term goals Long term goals are is something that wants to be achieved in near future, so they involves lot of time, efforts to invested for planning regarding the way it can be achieved.
