INTRODUCTION
Academic skills such skills are the skills which make experience to be gained over
developing academic criteria. In this learning experiences with other resources related with
success of growth has been explained. Also this covers about learning process and strategies
related to it. In this skills and studies is been related to those strategic tools that is helpful in
managing of activities in appropriate manner. They are helpful in making goals and objectives
achieved in more effective manner. Under such skills aspects related to both personal and
professional development has been covered which enhances knowledge with skills used within
it. Scope of these skills are wider as it makes overall development which helps in forming of
strong framework for making an individual develop there ability. Nature is dynamic because of
tendency over affecting various process required for development of individual. Under the report
personal development and professional development is been covered in relation over short, mid
and long term goals.
TASK
a) Define the concept of personal and professional development.
Personal development plan: In this plan personality development is been done over
common terms. Then steps is been followed which makes improvisation through which
development of person takes place in more effective manner. The plan helps in enhancing of
personality in better and effective manner. Through the plan skills and techniques is been
enhanced over making development possible of an individual. In this performance is improved of
an individual. This is been refereed as the phenomena which makes enhancement of career with
success and growth. Objective of the plan is towards ensuring that better position is been
achieved regarding education and office purpose. It makes success achieved in more organized
way. Further the process makes over all development possible of an individual through allowing
analysing of factors that plays important role in leading towards development possible in
professional manner(O’Shaughnessy, 2018).
b) Describe and discuss the value of short-term goals, identifying at least three personal
examples.
Short term goals these are the goals based upon short time period which is not more than
two weeks or 12 months. It is helpful in achieving of goals which is required to be achieved as

fast as possible. These goals makes improvement possible in faster manner. Two important
things which is related to these goals and has been given as
Easy attainable: It makes achieving of target possible as per the accomplishment of task
within proper time period (Page, Nimon-Peters and Urquhart, 2020).
The three personal examples for short term goals are mentioned under:
When professional knowledge is to be attained through managing of operation within an
organization.
Purchasing of a headset from saving and salary which is been made by an individual.
Communication skills is been enhanced by person through speaking in public.
c) Describe and discuss the value of medium-term goals, identifying at least three personal
examples.
Medium term goals: They are those goals within which is been set for making
contentious development within three or one year. In this both personal and professional
development is achieved through which individual attain more success. For making these goals
more effective it has been explained as follows:
Roadmap for Long term: It is one of the most important thing which makes guidance process
developed through setting of goals and objectives (Newman-Ford, 2018).
The three personal examples for medium term goals are under:
Individual plans for trip which is long vacation.
Purchasing house within an individual's name.
Leadership skills and professional skills is to be developed within corporate world or at
work place.
d) Describe and discuss the value of long-term goals, identifying at least three personal
examples.
Long term goals such goals makes ideas with innovation been formed through this
growth is achieved in more efficient way. As per this an individual through theories and research
develop various techniques which is to be used in long terms to attain success.
Three personal examples has been given as follows:
Conflict solving mechanism is been used in order to deal upon problems in
appropriate manner.

Leadership skill makes long terms goals achieved through motivating employees.
e) Describe and discuss the value of a Personal Development Plan and construct an example
using your identified goals.
The personal development plan make skills enhancement possible in bot personal and
professional manner. Under it skills like communication with leadership has been covered which
is required for development of individual. Such skill makes all over development accomplished
regarding employees performance. Also in this team building skills is developed through
analysis done in proper manner (Manalu and Siringoringo, 2020).

From the above conclusion can be concluded that development is been done upon both
professional and academic skill possible. Also due to this goals and objectives setted through an
individual which makes success achieved in more affective manner. In the end various sources is
