INTRODUCTION
The present study will define the importance of personal and professional development
plan along with short, medium and long term goals. Also, study will describe how author,
purpose, reliability and relevance affect the use of the sources and evaluate all the sources used
within a study.

Personal and professional development
Personal development plan (PDP) outline the goals, strength which an individual want to
attain in the specific area and examine the list of skills that can be improve through the plan. It
further helps to give a clear idea which individual want to accomplish in next few months.
Professional development plan assist an individual to reach the career aspiration.
Therefore, it is a plan which provides a framework that determine goals, resources and different
learning opportunities for growth. It also determine the progress toward a desired outcomes
(Atherton and et.al., 2021)
Presenting short term goals with examples
Short term goal are attain by individual within near future and such type of goals are
attained quickly (Avci, 2017). Such goals allow to stay on the track toward achieving ultimate
long term goals. For examples:
 To make a practice of morning routine
 Exercise daily
 Read a book
Value of medium term goals with examples
This goals takes little bit longer time as compared to short term goal and this are useful
because individuals can easily track the performance (King and Mendoza, 2021). With the help
of such goals, individual can manage their time in order to increase the skills. For example:
 To enhance the communication within 6 months
 Time management skills
 Increase the score of Biology by 50 within next 6 months
