Examining the concepts of personal and professional development
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: It is the term used for those qualities that helps the individuals
to develop their person’s capabilities along with this it will also enhance the quality for their
throughout life (Rimmer, A., 2018). On the other it can be also said that it is the process which
also help them to assess life goals which is also used for meeting goals.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: It is the development which is used for improving the
skills that are used at the time of meeting the organization objectives (Preston and Gasser, 2018).
Mainly this is also used for consultation, technical and mentoring assistance.

Short term goals are the type of goal which an individual want to achieve in the less
period of time to attain the goal (Chow and et.al., 2018). It can be also said that the individual
want to accomplish goals and objectives soon by thus short term goals. It can be also said that by
this they will not only get motivated but it will also result in increasing the productivity that is by
focusing long term (Servitri, M. O. and Trisnawaty, W., 2018). The three examples of short term
goals are:

ď‚· Read newspaper in 1 day
