INTRODUCTION
The academic skills assist to know the skills,writing and skills related to presentation
skill. The personal development plan is a kind of plan that based on awareness, goal-setting and
value and personal development (Han and Lu, 2018). This report evaluate concept of personal as
well as professional development. The value of short-term, medium-term and long-term goals
with an example. Further, determine the personal development plan with an identified goal.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
Concept
The concept of personal and professional development basically refers to the self-
development of an individual in all the aspects. The personal development focuses on those
skills and attributes which mainly helps in enhancement of an individual (Makovec, 2018). Here,
the thoughts, actions and feelings all are focused solely on the personal development of the
individual. The professional development, on the other hand, broadly refers to the roadmap with
latest skills, approaches and education that assist in further growth of career. It also include all
the training and education that help worker for better career opportunities. It is necessary to
develop the knowledge to ensure with competent in the profession as this is continues process
throughout the professional career.
Short- Term Goals
The goal which can be achieved in short period of time are short-term goals. This are the
goal which an individual set to achieve in near future (Johnson, Prescott and Lyon, 2017). This
goal provide an clear and defined way for the success and also lead to better productivity. By
short-term goal is will also support to achieve the long- term goal.
 I have planned to improve my communication skill so that it will help me to interact with
others an effective manner.
 I will also concentration to improve my academic skill to get better grades in the
semester.
 I will also make affords to find that internship that help me to get experience and enhance
the knowledge.

Medium- Term Goals
The medium-term goal are those which are usually bigger than short-term and take little
bit longer duration to accomplish (Allen And et. al., 2019). This goals are good and common in
all over the world. This are the goal act as milestone to achieve long-term goal. The activities
that are performed to achieve this goal usually performed in a year or less than it.
 With the help of by communication skill and academic knowledge I will find that
opportunity that suits me for bit long time.
 I will focused on Development of working experience in different sectors and field.
 I will try to grab the senior position while working in an organisation of my field.
Long- Term Goals
The goal which take a specific time, efforts and well planning to achieve for
accomplishment (Cruess, Cruess and Steinert, 2019). This goal require planning and time in
equal proportion, as this include series of different small activities that help to achieve the long-
term goal. As this goal also provide path to perform the small goal and also assist in success and
further growth.
 With better work and by using different kind of skill I have to achieve promotion.
 I will also improve my leadership quality so I can control a group of people in more
effective way.
 I will enhance my academic knowledge in a way that it will help me to reach to desired
position.
TASK 2
Author, Purpose, Reliability and Relevance
There are different methods to collect the source so it is necessary to evaluate the better
way to collect the source (Fukuzawa, Boyd and Cahn, 2017). The citation and the source should
be very accurate and proper so that information which is gathered is up to the point with realistic
facts. for this author should be appropriate and well known. For good source author should be

appropriate and well known who right quality content. For a favourable source it is also required
that the content is reliable and trust worthy (Godwin-Jones, 2019). The source should to from
