INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are made up of key skills including presentation skills, academic skills and
referencing. Studying with confidence is important for students in attainment of their career
goals. This presentation divided into different tasks, which includes information along with their
importance, CRAAP test and their effectiveness, support services provided by Leeds Trinity
University.
TASK 1
How do find information and evaluation of its source?
There are basically two sources of finding the information including primary and secondary.
Primary sources are including questionnaire, interview etc. Secondary sources are books,
articles, journals and many more. Al these are important sources but according to the present
report, secondary sources are important because it help in collecting and evaluating of in-depth
information about the subject.1 For example: marketing is the process of attracting larger base of
customers towards the product. This information is collated from the article of marketing that is a
best source. For evaluating this source, CRAAP test will be applied. This will be explained as
below:
C: Currency – Information collected from the article is based on 2020 that is accurate.
R: Relevance – This information helped me by providing accurate data about the marketing that
turn to support in my study.
A: Authority- Article is the main source of current information.
A: Accuracy- Definition of the marketing is reliable and correct information that helped in my
course or study 2.
