INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are crucial and play an important role in overall development of a
person. There are several competencies such as communication, time management are developed
during in students during their academics (McNatt, 2020). Universities provide several services
such as library, mental and well being support and language support to enhance the knowledge
and skills of learners. These services and assistance provide by universities play a great role to
shape the career of an individual. The current reflection is give appropriate information about
various skills that are required to develop during academics along with different services that are
provided by campus to learners.
REFLECTION
In terms to get success, it is essential to have some necessary skills and abilities that differs a
person from others. In the current competitive environment, it is crucial to develop competencies
to get an edge over other and grow in career (Numan and Hasan, 2017). Being a volunteer, I
realised that there are several skills that need to acquire by me and my peers in order to step
ahead in career. Different services are provided by university to give possible help to learners to
remain ahead in their career. For this, they provide library facility where students can get
updated content, different magazines, journals, articles and more. Books on different topics are
available at library that can be easily access by learners. In personally used to visit library to
enhance my knowledge and capabilities. Here, I got ample of books related to my interest along
with the recent articles that provide me information about surrounding. To be a good learner, it is
significant to get proper knowledge and library facilities help fellow students to learn more in
order to grow and explore in future.
Apart from this, there are following facilities are being provided by Walthamin college:
Library services: Here higher authorities of college provide books; journals as well as
articles on diversify topics and other specialized material in order to improve in knowledge and
skills of students. I personally know the significance of library as here several books and articles
can be found to get updated information. In context of respective college, there are books
available on its website that can be avail by learners by 24 hours. It is analysed that college also
provides e- resources and full text journals that can be avail even after college hours. In addition,
there is efficient staff present at library at any time to provide assistance and necessary support to
