INTRODUCTION
Academic skills play a major role in success of students at University. It helps the
students to grab the knowledge in proper manner and use the same in future. In this report there
is discussion related to “how has the response to the Covid-19 pandemic shaped the experience
of university students”. The reason for sleeting the article, books and news article is justified in
the report. The evaluation of the sources is done in order to explain the same effectively.

There is use of academic skills to conduct research related to “how has the response to
the Covid-19 pandemic shaped the experience of university students”. To analyse the sources, I
used google scholar and then identified the best matching articles related to the topic. I searched
various books in library so as to know more about the topic. Online research was also conducted
to get details related to news article. I examined the key works and then used the information.
The use of research skills helped me to know about the details of the topic. At the same time use
of effective decision making skills are useful and help to decide the bets article and books.

In the article, there is discussion related to the changes seen in the patter of studies at
Universities. It is seen that there are various challenges that have taken place due to the situation
of Covid-19. The challenges were not know by the students in the starting, but the use of online
education has helped the students to study in an effective manner (Bidwell, Grether and
Pederson, 2020). The students and faculty members decided that the only solution to deal with
the pandemic situation is online studies. The work is simplified and manageable if the students
will be provided online learning.

The students come to study and compete with each other to study effectively. The
pandemic situation has changed the scenario and the students are in stress. They were unable to

The pandemic has direct impact on the life of the students. It has not only impacted the
day schedule of the students but also has became the reason of nightmares of the female students.
The female students have have take more stress and that is the reason they are unable to deal
with the situation (Kilius, Abbas, McKinnon and Samson, 2021). The impact is negative on the
students. The female students are found to be more aggressive at this time them the male
students.
How do students perceive face-to-face/blended learning as a result of the Covid-19
pandemic?
Before Covid-19 the students were ready to study face to face. But, due to the situation of
pandemic the students are unable to deal with the situation, they are afraid of the disease and
concerned about the health. There is problem of less interaction faced by the students in blended
learning. But, this is the option that will help them to study at this time (Mali, and Lim, 2021). It
is seen that teachers are motivating students so that they are able to study effectively via online
platforms.
More students choose local universities as Covid pandemic rages
There are changes in the application of online colleges due to covid-19. The students now
choose to stay near to their home. Every person is now concern about their health and want to
live near to their family (More students choose local universities as Covid pandemic rages,
2021). The students are emotionally affected and that have changed their mind and decision. The
students are facing anxiety and unable to study effectively sue to the situation of Covid-19.
Theme 3: Academic writing
Covid-19 is a pandemic situation that is being faced by whole world. It has impact on all
the sector of the economy. There is direct impact of the situation on the education sector. The
students are in stress and feel anxiety about the study. They are feeling stress and this the reason
of problem. This has enhanced problems for the teachers as well because they are unable to deal

with the situation (Zou, Li and Jin, 2021). They have to make changes in the study patterns of the
students.
There is need to understand that all the people of the university have got direct impact of
the pandemic. As per the studies the students are facing the issue of nightmares due to Covid-19.
The level of stress faced by them is also enhancing and because of the same they are unable to
study in proper manner. The students have also changed their mind set and are planning to
continue their students from country. They are scare to go out of the nation and want to live near
to their home (Nguyen and et.al., 2021). The main party that has suffered from the situation is
students. The universities are taking various measures so that they are able to provide better
situation to the students. As well as they take care of the well-being of all the students. The
provision of online studies has continued the academics of the students but the same has negative
impact on them. It is analysed that they are unable to study effectively at this point of time due to
change in pattern and the stress level that is faced by the students due to Covid-19.
The discussion says that the students and faculty have decided to switch towards online
mode, which is right. The task is to keep the students safe. So, they must stay at home but they
can not afford loss of studies, so they must study online (Cook and et.al., 2021). No doubt
changes cause problems and the students are not able to understand effectively as they used to in
face to face classes. But they must be motivated and provided with solutions so that they are able
to learn. The life of students and their safety must be at priority so that they are able to deal with
the situation effectively.
Reflection
I am able to learn a lot during the module. It has enhanced by knowledge as well as skills
that are necessary to study. The use academic skills in proper manner is necessary and helps to
achieve success. The action plan is formulated below:

CONCLUSION
From the above report, it is analysed that there is use of academic writing to study at
University. In this report there is evaluation of books, journals, news articles and articles related
to a topic. The way used to find out the article is also mentioned. It is seen that there is
evaluation of all the articles in the report. In the end there is discussion related to the argument
and most convincing points among them.
