1.1 Expectation when coming to college
Introduction
There are number of expectation that an individual have when they come in the college for the
first time. This can be related to personal or professional development with the knowledge
gained in the college.
Main body
An individual uses to come in the college to gain its knowledge and learn new skills that
are needed for growth (Van den Broeck. and et. al., 2021). When they come in college then there
are different skills which individual want to improve in them so in the college they get guidance
by their tutors.
The individual also find friends and relations at the college which develop a
belongingness in each student who is studying in the college. The individual have fun with the
study so that they are more involved and willing to come at college (Bickerstaff, Barragan and
Rucks-Ahidiana, 2017). They are expected that they will involve in different type of task and
also get the prizes for the same.
In the college the higher level of qualification is provided to the students so the individual
who is taking education must have career opportunities. When the individual will get better
career opportunity then they will grow effectively.
Conclusion
This concludes that the expectation are always positive when individual come in the
college to get the qualification. They find that skills and knowledge which they will go to
enhance in the college will help in better career growth. Every individual who is coming in the
college have expected to learn new things, more explore their subject topic and also have fun and
being more social with the other people.

1.2 Importance of planning for academic task and management of time at college
Introduction
The planning is one of the key component to get success in every sector and field, the
academic task are also needed planning to perform all its task within the time (Slipac, Zeljko and
Šljivac, 2019). When the individual perform its task with planning then time is automatically
managed in the college.
Main body
Planning is the practise in which task are developed which need to perform in the near
future, in this process the individual uses to think of the activities which are needed for
achievement of desired goal (De Lessio and et. al., 2019). The planning also help to prioritize the
things which are things which needed to complete earlier. The short-term goal are the steps
which are ultimately contributed in the long-term goal. Planning become most important task in
Montrose college for the individual who are taking admissions over their as this will help student
of Montrose to predict the position they have in their future. The time is also being managed
when the planning is done by student. The individual will get to know about the aim and also
know their short-term goal as well as long-term goals.
Time management is the process which is undertaken by the individual to manage its task
and activities in this the individual uses to plan and control the time which is being spent on the
specific activities. The person with proper time management is efficient in its work, less stress in
comparison with other. The productivity get increased when the time is effectively used by the
individual. The student in Montrose college find the time management is one of the main

element to improve the performance in the college because with this individual get more time in
enhance the skills. Time management is the key to success for the students at Montrose college
without managing time they can not perform the task effectively (Brennan and et. al., 2017).
As a student of Montrose college my plan is to develop my skills and enhance my
knowledge to have more effective growth. Primary I will focus on my skills which are lacking in
me before entering into college (Rafique and Jianhua, 2018). While being in the college I will go
to analysis my current situation which are the subject in which I need to get more development. I
will also perform my task with the given time frame so that more productivity is done by me. I
will also avoid the wastage of time and involve in those task which will help me to experience
the skills and knowledge related to my career.
Conclusion
This concludes that planning is one of the important aspect to get success in every field
with proper planning things can not be performed with effective manner. For every individual is

Introduction
The internet is one of the main element for the student and the staff who is working in
academic to research and collected the required data (Rayan and et. al., 2017). There are number
of benefits and drawback of using internet in research at academic. With this student are able to
prepare more effectively in their exams. Internet helps to learn more effectively in the academics.

The internet is being one of the basic need which helps in students to work with
technology so that it contribute in more productivity (Zhang, Liang and Xiao, 2018). The
information which is used by the student are more relevant because they are latest and updated
when collected by using internet. Internet also hep in saving the time of the students and act as
more convenient for the student to use and learn.
Their is some negative point which are incurred when the student are making use of
internet while studying in the academic. Some time the information collected using internet is
being fake and irreverential. Their are also such source which are different not for use in the
research.
Conclusion
this concludes that internet is becoming more and more convenient for the student at

From the above bar graph it has been illustrated that the number of male students and female students who are studying engineering
during last three decades. It has been clearly visible that there are 14000 men who are interested in doing engineering while only 2000 women
are admitted for the course of engineering. After ten years i.e. in 2002 the numbers has been increasing as 4000 female students over 12000 male
students were admitted for engineering course. And finally, in 2012 there are drastic changes happen in the admission rate of women for the
engineering course which are around 6000 while the male candidates were still at the same position after ten years as well i.e. 12000.

Above pie chart share the information regrading the percentage of people using internet on the devices i.e. the diagram has shows that
14% people are using their internet on the desktop or computers in order to complete their tasks whether it is at home or at office premises.
Generally desktops has been utilised in offices only. Another sector defines that 33% people are using internet facilities over their smartphones.
This is the majority of people who are utilizing the facility through the mode of smart phone. After that the second largest number of people are
using internet on laptops as after smart phones, laptops are the most appropriate device for people to use them for the purpose of completion of
their assignments. 19% people prefer tablet to utilise internet facility in order to fulfil their requirements while 4% people utilises other mode
through which they can access internet connections.

It has been illustrated form the above graph diagram that in 1975 the majority number of people are more interested in eating fish and chips
rather than pizzas and hamburgers. While as the duration passes the requirements of fish and chips decreases and the demand of pizza and
hamburgers increases. After 1980 the demand for fish and chips again increases but only for few years i.e. in 1985 it again decreases drastically
which remain decreasing until the year 2000. While the demand of other items i.e. hamburgers are keep increasing continuously. For the demand
of pizza and hamburgers it has been seen that its demand remain stagnant after 1995 till the end i.e. year 2000.

Section 8: Reflective Learning
Description: From the above module I get to enhance my time management skills along with proper planning with their types and importance
within the academic profession. I was also able to know the advantages and disadvantages on usage of internet with reference style, power point
presentation and chart illustrations in effective manner. The final outcome consists that I am highly able to handle projects in my future career
(Akram and et.al., 2020). My key take-away includes effective problem solving with proper decision making at correct situation within
appropriate time frame. Before I start this project my expectations from myself was to complete the assignment in detailed and through effectual
methods which describes the detailed information along with enhancement in my skills.
Feelings: During the course I was very nervous when I primarily saw the project. Before starting the project I thought the assignment is not that
much beneficial for me and waste my lot of time but after or even during the course I got to realise that the assignment was highly beneficial for
me in order to enhance my professional as well as time management skills. My colleagues also felt this course extremely beneficial at various
perspectives in order to increase the knowledge and understanding about the concepts within me. All of them wanted similar kind of course for
themselves as well (Chen and et.al., 2018) I was thinking that I am the lucky one to get this opportunity to enhance my understanding through
this assignment. Right now I am able to tell that this assignment helps me in all ways to increase my level of cognition and meet all my
expectation in complete manner.
Evaluation: From this module I got to know that the good things that are involved is that I am able to enhance my presentation abilities which
will help me during working in professional environment. The bad thing that I had realised during this project that I faced a lot of problems
while doing the research about the charts and numbers so that time I felt frustrated while doing the assignment. Although I faced difficulties in
collection of numerical data , but at the end I was able to collect it appropriately which I thought went well for me in this task. Initially the
presentation was not that much appropriate for me and I am unable to fulfil me expectations regarding this. I did contribute my overall

understanding in this assignment to fulfil the task requirements (Galli, 2017).. Apart from me, my tutor also helps me to understand the whole
requirements of the task in most effective manner.

Analysis: During the assignment the presentation part was went well at the final outcome
although initially I faced many problems regarding collection of numerical data along with
presentation. With the complete situation, I was able to sense that time management skills are
highly important while completing such huge and important assignment within proper time
frame (Van Rensburg and et.al., 2018). The knowledge regarding my planning abilities helped
me a lot during the whole instrument which enables me to accomplished the task.
Conclusion: From the above module I have concluded that now I am able to develop my time
management abilities at effectual level that will always help me in my future career as well as at
personal level. Apart from this I got to know some other informations regarding internet
advantages, disadvantages along with referencing style. Although there are certain dark areas in
which I had faced some problems but with the support of my tutor I was able to complete the
whole assignment in proper manner.
