INTRODUCTION Academic skills is a term which describe the core values of an individual which includes talent, habits, learning strategies and various tools for time management that supports a learner to study and learn those exercises (Bennett, B., 2017). Learning skills will help an individual to become more efficient and productive in their personal and professional life. This will also support to increase the confidence level in order to present in a bunch of people which includes notetaking skills as well as critical thinking which are very significant for an individual’s success. MAIN BODY The concept of personal and professional development plan. Personal and professional development plan can be described as a course and pursuit of enhancingoneselfinwhichindividual’slifeisimprovingthroughvariousactivitiesand conscious habits. It can be understood as an official record of an individual which requires to improve. It can be taken as a reflection of individual which helps him to understand his goals in order to achieve them and how will he achieve them. It helps an individual to be focused and think about its future which includes his skills, qualification as well as promotion in order to get something. For employees, it is a source of discovery, inspiration as well as motivation (Clemmer, J., 2019). For employers, it can help them to evaluate the performance of employees and provide them as a basis of personal appraisals in which they are notified about goals of an organisation which can also meet with the individual goals. It also act as a guide rope in which individual focus is in line in the course. Employers in the organisation evaluate how employees meet with their goals, they provides an opportunity to grab it which helps in individual to learn, study and develop more. Personal development plan as a critical source is an investment in which individual life is managed in the best appropriate way it also involves obstacles and hurdles along the way. An individual need to be proactive instead of waiting stuff to be takes place. It makes an individual to step forward by himself to make it happen. It supports him and work as a road map in which he set goals for his life in which he can think about his interest, capability, creating skills, opportunities, competencies and much more. He analyze himself and evaluate his strength and weakness in order to work on it so that he can be more efficient and productive in his personal and work life. Personal development plan includes short term, medium term and long term goals which must be carefully formatting and must be up to date on regular basis. Value of short term goals with examples. Short term goals defines that goals which can be achieved something in the near future. It can be achieved today, it can takes a week or month but it does not takes more than a year. It makes an individual to think about his future what he can do right for that and how it will help to manage the intervals. Short term goals are act as a roadmap for an individual in order to achieve long-term objectives for his life. Value of medium term goals with examples. Medium term goals are set in between short term and long term goals. When these goals are established it encourages and motivates an individual in order to take short steps which is necessary in order to get the long term objectives get sound. Medium term goals requires minimum 3 to 5 years to be completed. An individual is required to pay attention and must record the progress in order to track in which visible progress will support a learner as well as know how much it require more time to get completed. This goals also shows that short term goals are completed. It makes an individual to face risk and problems in his life and how can he manage time effectively in their career and personal life. These goals are long enough and useful to make an imperative progress and short enough that a person's values and priorities won't be deeply disparate by the time he achieved the objectives. It also represents that how an individual is determined with his goals and monitor on the timely basis. Long term goals are those goals in which an individual desires to get something in his development in the future which needs patience, time and proper planning. These goals take more than 5 years to be accomplished.
