AI Summary
This assignment requires students to reflect on their learning experience from the Academic Skills module. They must write a 300-word reflective summary using Gibbs' reflective model, highlighting their experience working with a study group in an academic context and one key academic skill they developed as a result of taking the module. Additionally, students are asked to analyze the impact of Brexit on business practices and recruitment sectors, considering how recruiters can adapt to these changes and provide valuable services to clients. The assignment aims to assess students' ability to reflect on their learning experience, apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Brexit will only happen if a majority votes to leave the EU in a referendum. The outcome is highly
uncertain as there are many unknowns including the timing of the vote and the outcome of the
renegotiation. If Brexit happens it will be a long and protracted process. While some points on the road
are fixed, others are not, creating additional uncertainty. On the other hand, the Brexit issue has brought
out the worst of many economists. In some cases, they have allowed their political prejudices to colour
their scientific judgement. Whether or not Brexit leads to improvements or reductions in economic well-
being remains to be seen.
Importance of BREXIT: -

IMPACT OF BREXIT ON RECRUITMENT AND EMPLOYEE RETENTION
Leaving EU was a substantial step for any member
state to take; this decision affects in many ways,
i.e. social, cultural and political, but most
importantly it carries out economic implications.
Along with this, UK's decision to leave EU also
affect the overall world in a positive and negative
manner. There is no doubt that some areas of
employment regulation are unpopular with UK
employers. Areas that many UK employers would
like to see abandoned or amended include the
regulations on working time, agency working and
transfer of undertakings (Swinbank, 2016). Brexit

The Referendum Act made no provision for any
action to follow the referendum, which was
therefore advisory in nature and of no effect in
law. Referendums can be legislated for to be
binding, such as the 2011 referendum but
Parliament did not choose that approach for the
EU referendum.
Along with this, UK always has issues with EU, in
which the most common is use of common
currency, i.e. Euro and which UK doesn't use.
Moreover, the pro-leave camp also has reservation
with EU's rules and regulations. The major problem
is immigration of laws of EU

1. A description your data (What is it? Where does it come from? What area is it
focussing on?).
2. A summary on what the data shows in general.
3. One or two areas of the data looked at in detail and an explanation of why you
think they are significant.
