Write a handwritten paragraph in your week 6 tutorial class (approx. 300 words) addressing the areas in the box below. Remember to refer to the

You will deliver a 10-minute presentation (7 minutes delivery + 3 minutes for questions) to other students in your tutorial class in week 9. You should base
your presentation on one key point (one main section/paragraph) from your report/essay using the following structure for guidance with suggested

Introduction Brexit refers to withdrawal of UK (united kingdom) from European Union (EU). Negotiation with EU was initially started in June 2017.
this has created challenging situation for people in UK. Initial research suggested that Brexit has damaged economy. This has reduced per capita
income.

event industry is among strongest industry in UK. Event management is regarded as centre of global attraction. It is very big business in UK.
Negotiation has started from October. Brexit has lead to fall in value of currency. People from all round the world visit events that are held in UK. It
is very profitable for people travelling to UK. Cost of planning and organising event has went down.
Opportunity Brexit has increased job opportunity for people. Event industry provide strong financial payments to their employees. Emerging of
market has created various opportunities.
Problem event industry is facing various problems and issues. UK company is facing problem of account deficit because of fall in value of sterling.
Decline in value has lead to decrease in investment.
Conclude this project conclude that Brexit has positive and negative impact on economy of UK. Emerging market has given rise to problems.

find right person. Right selection of panel can create positive impact on economy of country. UK is very strong
and powerful it provide opportunities to large scale of people. EU will start their negotiation from October

(Kurasch and Et.al., 2017). The Bank of England provide fund that help to keep market firm. Strong market
facilitates activities of business. There are various activity that businesses perform. People have queries and
problems related to those activity. Many international and global companies continue to work together as
business partners. This will help in creating positive working environment. Working with international
company has long term impact. It help in improving trading relationship with other countries. Brexit can lead
to fall in value of sterling. People those who are coming to visit UK will get good value of money. Increase in
money worth will attract people from different countries. People those who are leaving UK will suffer loss
because they will not have enough pound. UK company plan their events in same country. Due to fall in value
of currency people will prefer to attend events held in UK. It can be concluded that visiting UK can be cost
effective plan (Kalka and Allgayer, 2014). Exit of UK from EU also has impact on Tour Operator Margin
Scheme (TOMS). Travel services has unpopular margin accounting scheme. UK event agency has declared it as
competitive disadvantage. Event industry is generally affected by political and economical factor. This
separation condition has adversely affected tours and travel industry. This has lead to immediate impact of
various businesses. Cost of planning and hosting conferences depend upon this process. International Air
Transport Association play major role in protecting air travel fair. UK travellers has decreased air travel rate on
leaving country, which has resulted in economic downfall. Till now UK has not yet decided to leave country.
People are waiting for official announcement. After declaration of formal negotiation between UK and EU,
market will take time to become stable. Events and meetings are affected by Brexit. People make delay in
their investment decision because of uncertainty in negotiation. This has reduce international competitiveness.
It is very important event and meeting industry to grab opportunity. UK is among best place for doing
business. Skills of business man play major role in success of leading industry. Proactive action of people help
in delivering positive message in market. Government must understand importance of open trade with EU.
Impact of Brexit on recruitment in event industry
Brexit has large impact on recruitment on event industry. The whole business sectors are affected by this. This
industry is facing various issues. HBAA leading association of events and hospitality industry. This has
conducted survey regarding recruitment among members. This has immediate impact of sterling (Susmihara,
2016). Value of sterling has decreased over the time, due to this customers has become more specific in
booking of events. 2.3 % people say that it has major impact on recruitment. gradually this percentage has
increased to 9.6. there are several reason behind this increase. Brexit has greater impact on major impact on
recruitment. This industry is facing many issues and problems related to recruitment. Increase in money value
have currency has attracted labour from different part of the world. Labour will get more pay as compared to
other countries. Brexit has given rise to employment opportunities. The main problem arise in filling up middle

and senior role. Many organisation has changed their recruitment policy in order to increase number of
requirement. Talented workforce has to submit documents and evidence to government. Industry address
problems and issues of people. Brexit has given rise to different potential consequences. There are some
positive impact of Brexit. Government of UK has reduced taxes, due to this people are migrating to UK.
Internation trade has hit hard the economy of UK. Since UK and EU are not working together, this will lead to
deficit in raw material. This will lead to unstable economy. Brexit negotiation has negative impact on
recruitment. It has been observed decrease in hiring from European market. Percentage of recruiters has been
decreased to 32% from 56% . based on the survey conducted candidates have become less attractive.
Decrease of recruitment from European market, with 25 % decrease from Germany, 38 % decrease from
Netherlands, 23 % decrease form other countries in EU. There were decrease in hires from South Africa (25
percent). Brexit provide huge opportunity to people living in UK. Employers focus branding efforts, which help
in increasing productivity (Fiennes, 2016). Brexit has significant impact on recruitment in event industry.
Above result give clear picture about the impact of Brexit in recruitment of event industry. Taskforce take
initiative to submit evidences to government. Brexit impact has increased to 58% in last few years.

Brexit has both positive and negative impact on economy of UK. Event planning industry play major role. This
sector provide job opportunity to people. Negotiation has resulted in fall of stringy.

Experience in working with group
from this project I have learned that group work or team play major role in increasing productivity and
performance. Before meeting my team members, I was worried and nervous. After working with them I
changed my opinion. My team members were cooperative and supportive. It is very important to maintain
coordination between team members. I cooperate with my team member. Team members together discuss
and share their ideas and opinions. Group discussion has helped me to understand subject areas clearly. I
have developed many skills like interpersonal, communication and listening skills. I have motivated my team
members to work together in order to accomplish goals. My academic knowledge was valued by my team
leader. By collaborating with others I have identified my own strength and weakness. In group discussion
process I came up with good ideas and make efforts to implement them. Working with group has increased my
self awareness.
Development in academic skill
this project has helped me in developing various academic skills. From this project I have learned about
economics. Brexit has both positive ad negative impact on UK economy. I have learned that there are various
factors that affect economy of country. Its is very significant to maintain balance. Objective of project was to
discuss and analyse impact of Brexit in event industry. With the end of this project I have gained knowledge
about economics. There was decrease in value of currency, which has increased flow of people from different
countries. I have learned that in economy it is significant to maintain balance between demand and supply.
Brexit has adverse impact on recruitment of people in event industry. I have learned that fall in money value
has inverse relation. Due to Brexit event company is facing many problems. This report has helped in
increasing my knowledge of economics.
