1.Role and impact of information and communication technology
Information and communication technology has been considered as a great tool for
achieving goals in developing countries. Information and communication technology focus on all
those technologies which promote communication. This process is used to handle
communication processes like transmission system, broadcast media, telecommunications etc.it
is set of different set of technological tools used to transfer data (Hatlevik and et.al., 2018). In the
current pandemic situation the role of ICT has been drastically increased as almost all the
companies started their work from home which was beneficial for both the employee and for the
organization. In today’s global environment, organizational functions are powered by
information and communication technologies. Information and communication was the best
possible way to maintain social order during a pandemic. It reduces the company cost of the
organization.
The information and communication technology include many theories in which one of
the very significant theory is theory of planned behavior the theory of planned behavior is
defined as the process of understanding an individual’s behaviour at any specific place and time.
This theory basically focus on the behavioral intentions of an individual which depends on the
attitude .attitude define the expected outcome of the work. Behavioural intention refers to the
motivational factor which influence the behavior of an individual. This helps in increasing the
performance as well. The process of considering the attitude of other people about the specific
behavior is considered as subjective norms. Perceived behavioural control is also one of the
major factor of theory of planned behavior. It is the process of believing that we can control our
behavior (Alhassan and Adam, 2021). This depends on our determination, ability and also on the
external resources available to us. Higher level of control results in rapid growth of a person.
There are basic six models of information and technology communication. Each model is
extremely useful and have some pros and corns. For example station teaching is a model in
which small student to teacher ratio is desired. We can use this model for differentiating a lesson
as we can present the same type of material to different users.
