INTRODUCTION
In recent times tourism industry plays most important role in the global economy along with
has great contribution in generating employment, job, infrastructure and welfare of people. The
aim of the essay is to discuss issues regarding with access, equality and participation in tourism.
Accessible tourism allows all section people to involve, participate as well as enjoy or increase
their tourism experience. while travelling and go to a place in order to visit it to have better
experience all people have right to participate in all activities of that place. various people have
access requirement such as people who are old and have not mobile phones has more access
needs that become problem for them when they are touring and travelling. Accessibility in
tourism refers to the continuous endeavour to assure tourist products, destinations as well as
services are available to all the individual to come there to visit the place nevertheless of their
intellectual and physical disabilities, limitations and age (Jóhannesson and Lund, 2019). It gives
more focus on privately and publicly owned along with operated tourist destinations. It is very
important for enhancing the accessibility of tourism in order to provide positive4 experience to
travellers with various differ needs by providing service and design solution as well as
addressing their needs for many perspectives which aim to meet and cover in many group in
target segment to increase profitability and employment opportunities. The people who belong
low income group, old age and disable demands to treat equal and meet their travel needs in
order to receive services from the tourism industry. they did not expect much from the tourism
company to provide best services in order to increase their experience. It has been determine that
tourism has great impact on the inequality and poverty such as it allow people to participate in
various occupation and increase the living standard of people who located in local area. when the
people across the world come in a country to visit many places which leads to increase in
economy of the country that means reduction in poverty and inequality.
This project covers the understanding of the issues and debates concerned with equality, access
and participation in tourism.
