INTRODUCTION
Career research can be described as a practice whereby individuals who are recent
graduates search varied job opportunities which can be chosen in order to pursue a successful
career (Baines, Fill and Rosengren, 2017). This exercise is beneficial for freshers who are
willingly want to kick off their career. I just recently completed my MBA in marketing and
accounting field as I want to pursue my career in same stream. Accounting marketing is a new
term in professional field which has evolved from relationship-driven discipline in order to fulfil
expertise-based strategy. Marketing is profession which requires excellent communication skills
and accounting is a field whereby analytical as well as numerical ability are appropriate skills.
This project report aims at investigating in-depth insights which help me to understand varied
trends that are flourished in market with relevance to professional field of accounting marketing.
It also depicts clear understanding of numerous skills that are needed by individuals in getting
this profession.

Methods adopted by companies to effectively manage and organise the costing as well as
profitability gives arise to accounting management (Flöthmann. and Hoberg, 2017). Enterprises
employ accountants so that they can help in maximising efficiency of all the operations by
evaluating actual cost incurred and earn. Several trends that impacts and modify the profession
of accounting marketing are as follows:
Impact of Globalisation- Globalisation links whole world in one unit. It allows
companies to operate their functions all over the world (Guillaume and Apodaca, 2020). It
symbolises the transformation of companies operations according to the country they operate in.
The positive impact of globalisation is that it creates new challenges for existing accounting
practises which further helps in creating new job opportunities. It has change the course of
accounting marketing and presented a new universal accounting systems. In starting, individuals
in accounting marketing profession faces many issues and challenges to understand different
accounting principle. The process of accounting marketing gets hampered by different culture,
economy, politics and systems of countries. Companies now have shifted to Generally Accepted
Accounting Principles (GAAP) for accounting marketing as it is considered general framework

for accountant globally. It also assists in developing international capital market due to the
interconnectedness of costing principles.
Impact of Technology- The accounting marketing profession transforming speedily due
to effective and advanced technology available. Accountant no longer face the issues of projects
which are task oriented and outdated accounting software programs. Dynamic accounting
marketing technologies have ease the work of companies by providing fast and easy to use soft
wares as well as by providing automated techniques. The major impact information technology
has made on accounting marketing is the capabilities of businesses to create and utilize fully
computerised systems to store their financial transactions. By adopting advance technologies,
accountants can access the data via internet from anywhere in the world. Technology has helped
accountants to reduce the time to make and present financial data to administration. This aids in
preparing reports quickly and in effective manner so it helps upper management in decision-
making. One of the significant impact of technologies on accounting marketing is that it
increased functionality and enhance accuracy of operations which helps companies to
accomplish their goals effectively. This allows accountant to segregate between transactions an
basis of which are important and which are not.
Skills and experience required
Skills and expertise plays significant role among an individual to make career in specific
profession. Mentioned below are certain skills along with expertise required to be possessed
among people that are willing to perform job role of accounting marketing:
Communication skill: The skill through which an individual give and receive variant
types of ideas, information and views with others is communication skill (Jaffe, 2019). It is
required in people that willing to work as accounting marketing as the skill assists in keeping
colleagues focused towards cost effective campaigns which explains positive return on
investment as well as encouraging customers to devise purchase decisions. Better
communication potential with others assist in understanding others thoughts better and foster
creativity which can be applied in personal along with professional life.
Critical thinking skill: It refers to potential of an individual to examine present
information rationally along with devise rational judgement as per analysis. For a candidate
planning to pursue career as accounting marketing, critical thinking skill is necessary as it assist
them for approaching objective conclusions in the field.
