In present time, it is observed that involvement of parents plays an important role in
students learning at for middle and high school. In other words, it can be said that student's
success is directly linking to encouragement done by families towards learning at home where
there involvement is something that improves the understanding and pushes students towards
effective learning. Based on the information given by Nugraemi, and Usman, 2019, parents
engagement if directly takes place in student's lives then it can be considered as a crucial support
that impacts positively on overall learning process that may lead to improve lifelong knowledge.
On the other hand, many teachers at both high and middle school stated that developing
interventions in relation to parent engagement towards student's learning has brought ample
number of changes in motivation level, grades and behaviour of students (Sia and Ismail, 2016).
Therefore, it can easily be said that involvement of parents directly affects children’s
knowledge and interest towards education and push motivation level, profound behaviour of
children towards learning and this ultimately impacts positively on their grades. Including this,
positive learning environment for student can be created through increasing improvement of
parents towards learning (Yigzaw, 2019). However, it can be said that Promoting Parental
Involvement is not that easy because life has become really very busy where both husband and
spouse are earning to secure their own and of their children's future. This has impacted
negatively on student's learning process because, it is much needed for parents to involve
themselves so that student's behaviour, knowledge level and learning as well. The problem that
came in front was the ineffectiveness of work-based life of parents as they have engaged
themselves in their work so much, due to which they are not able to provide proper proper time
to children (Robih, , Suratman, and Soesatyo,, 2017).

At present, thinking of good practices on teaching and learning are linking to
involvement of parents in children’s educational development. Basically, collaborating with
parents or involving them in students learning is considered to be something which impacts
positively on overall performance level (includes behaviour, knowledge and learning) of
student's learning (Wilder, 2017). Atmosphere of the classrooms not just has been appeared to

efficient manner as well. With feedback of individuals, teachers have to provide group feedback
to asses different areas of need (Schunk and Mullen, 2012). Students have to be provided with
various opportunities so that there can be appropriate learning process, materials, and Timely
instruction. Current thinking of teachers is that taking support from parents might directly impact
positively on overall educational development of students. It is said because, children moreover
stays dependent on their parents and it has been analysed that any sort of support given by them
would directly improve different skills, attributes, attitude and so on.

having nay carelessness attitude towards their academic performance.
They are also willing to share any kind of issues or problems that they are facing in
school with their parents all these instances play a very crucial role in having a incremental effect
on the productivity level of students in terms of better results (Mustikarini, 2019). As per above
study it has also been developed that there are many different types of ways that can be adopted
by parents to enhance their level of participation and the most popular way is to encourage the
students to have more communication with their parents. There has to be a combination of active
participation of parents and higher level of commitment that is very compulsorily in order to
ensure that parents are involved in growth and development of their students.

According to the above mentioned information, it has been concluded that action research is
important at professional and academic level. Action research refers to the method of systematic
and useful enquire that teachers use as an investigator of their own practices. In action research,

The research is having lot of implications as researcher felt that is suffered from shortage
of time as there were lot of activities and in the last stages the maximum time allocated was
already utilise so researcher was left with very short period of time (Herts, Beilock and Levine,
2019). There can also be use of research outcomes in getting a detailed overview of the function
of progenitor or teachers cumulatively in a kids whole academic career and after that also when

As an Educator:
As an educator, the present investigation brings change in the thinking connected to the
region of parental engagement in education of students, therefore, this skill will helps in attaining
growth in the professional career. The key implication it had with the workplace is that, the
insufficient recognition about the area of parental involvement affects the growth and
functionality of the schools and develops adverse image in front of people. With the help of this

analysis determining about how the kids behave on the reactions of teachers and this will be
more effective in making me aware about the behaviour substance so that students do not take
negative aspect from my behaviour. I merely concern over maintaining trust and honesty within
class work. As a educator I need some changes in this research including, providence of
appropriate guidance to the students, using appropriate tools and techniques of time management
etc. These changes have direct impact on educator in conducting of full study ethically and
appropriately.
As a researcher:
As a researcher, the existing analysis brings the change in developing the academic
knowledge to execute the research in accurate way to generate possible results. I have done the
mistake in managing time which would be effective for me in considering time as the primary
aspect and resolving the issue of managing activities via developing time scale. The significant
aspect which I have gained by this analysis is that the planning of research activities
implementations is the prior concern to implement the entire work in right manner. Furthermore
through implementing quantitative and qualitative information, I was certain about the fact that
my investigation was effective to getting suitable ideas in the manner of developing capabilities
of research operations. applying mixed method had the following advantages easy compression
among qualitative and quantitative aspects, the interaction of scholar is fostered, the flexibility of
methodology is effectively gained and so on. As a researcher, I used my different types of
research skills including data collection, data analysis, literature review, time management etc.
These are important and essential skills that supported me in each and every phase of action
research. There are different phase of action research including introduction, literature review,
research methodology, data analysis and interpretation, conclusion and recommendations. All
these are important phase that supported me in using my all types of research skills in
appropriate manner.
Further Suggestions
The existing project is valuable in rendering an individual in developing individual and
professional skills which may in turns in developing value in gaining success via attaining
effective academic credits and also provide a wider direction to implement undertaking
connected to related region in more efficacious way and the chances of issues are less. After the
execution of the project , the key suggestion for me to use innovative methods of teaching as a

teacher and maintain good behaviour with kids so that issues that foster the mental health of kids
can be resolved by maintaining friendly nature. I also need to work on the interaction with the
parents to deliver them the situation of their kids therefore, this will helps in improvising the
parental involvement in the education of the children. In addition to this I surely will be working
on developing the morale of students for putting their significant efforts in the education
programs to attain growth and success.

GIbbs reflective model
This part of the action research was done with the help of GIbbs reflective model. This
model includes five stages which are description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and
action plan. All these are effective and useful stages in completion of reflection about the action
research. This model is more essential and important for me in explaining of my entire
experience about doing this investigation. This model will also support in describing the entire
journey about the investigation. All these kind of stages will be explained as below:
Description: My experience regarding doing this action research was good because with
the help of this, I increased my knowledge regarding the concept of parental involvement in
education of students, significance of involvement of parents in students life and ways for
promoting engagement of parents within the education of students from middle and high school.
This research helped me in completion of each and every activity of the study in effective and
systematic manner. I used different methods for gathering information regarding the topic. For
this, I used deductive approach, positivism philosophy, questionnaire, quantitative research
method etc. All these helped me in collection of reliable and valid data in less time period.
Therefore, my overall experience was good that helps in my my professional and academic
development. This research was done in United kingdom on health and social care that was
effective for me in identifying the parental involvement. This research helped me at my
professional level by increasing my different types of skills including literature review, data
collection, data analysis, time management etc. All these are important skills that helps in my
professional development effectively. I got chance for doing this investigation in promoting of
parental involvement. I developed my basic understanding about the action research that was
supported me in my academical development. As it helped me doing of any type of investigation
successfully and timely. I identified that parental participation is affecting students and teachers
are playing important role in creation of high parental involvement. There is a framework that
behavioural involvement is related to parents actions to represent the interest of education of
their children. I also determined that, there are different types of involvement in which personal
involvement is main that consist of interaction taking place between parent and children related
to their school and importance of education for their child. Another is a intellectual involvement
that is regarded as a behaviour that is used for promotion of skill development of children by
visiting museums or reading books.

Feelings: My experience about conducting this research project was great. I feel that I am
able for conducting any type of research in systematic manner. I feel much better by conducting
action research within allotted time period. I used questionnaire for collecting primary
information regarding the parental involvement. By using this method I felt confidence because
in this I got a chance for collecting data from the respondents. In data collection, I think that I
have excellent data collection skill that was effective and essential for me in gathering of reliable
and valid data easily and systematically. By gathering information from the participants I
observed that respondents are happy with my communication skill. This skill supported me in
gathering of information regarding the topic from selected respondents.
The major concern while collecting the data which I experienced was the ethical issues.
Evert participant of this study has an issue that what if their personal information has been leaked
by this study. Due to lack of experience I was unable to respond to all the issues of respondents
which lead to the feeling of nervousness. In order to address this issue, I consulted with my tutor
and they asked me to add a section in the investigation and questionnaire that will provide surety
to the respondents that all the information provided by participants will be kept confidence and
will used by using the measures of anonymity. This advice of my tutor has changed my
nervousness into confidence and then I was able to collect viable and reliable data effectively.
Another major issue which I experienced while collecting the data was the evidence of data set.
The responses of participants can be equally viable and non viable which can later impact the
overall results of the investigation. This issue highly impacted my vision towards this
investigation due to which I lost all my confidence towards the conduct of this study. In order to
get a resolution to this issue, I consulted secondary sources and from that I came to know that if I
keep my questionnaire short and easy, then this will increase the chances of collecting the viable
data. This source of advice also helped me and once again this ultimately tuned my negative
feelings towards affirmative ones.
My overall experience of conducting this study was partially positive and partially
negative as there was various instances where I lost my all the confidence and there were few
situations where suggestions of my tutor helped me a lot.
Evaluation: By executing this research, I evaluate my strengths and weakness regarding
the project. I also evaluated good and bad regarding my experience. By conducting this action
research I evaluate that I have excellent communication skill, time management skill, knowledge

about the effective research methods, etc. These are more important skills that helped me in
completion of full project effectively. I also observed my weakness while conducting this
investigation. These are lack of presentation skill, easily trust on anyone, lack of confidence etc.
These challenges are create at the time of undertaking research activities. While collecting
information I was fail in managing my huge information that create issue in presenting the same
in-front of team members. Due to this, my team members also get confused what in trying to say.
This is the reason that I face issue in influencing manager to approve my topic. Along with this,
unethical behaviour of participants is also a major issue for me at the time of undertaking
research. In this, when I asked with selected participants to share their views and opinion on the
basis of research topic their behaviour is totally unethical. Due to this, I was fail in collecting
proper data and information towards the research activities and topic as well. It was create huge
complexities at the time of taking decision within the study. This type of issue also reduce my
confidence level while gathering information from people as it felt in interacting with
respondents. This is the reason that participants share ineffective information with me. Along
with this, sometime I also felt that my communication skill is not effective because it face issues
at the time of communicating with my team and participants as well. Due to ineffective
interaction, respondents doesn't understand what I am trying to asked with them. As a researcher,
it is important for me to effectively communicate with all the members includes within the
research activities so that I can easily take right decision and at the same time also improve the
possibilities of attaining positive and reliable outcomes. Further more, lack of communication,
ineffective data collection skill, less confidence, improper presentation skills and so on are the
challenges that I have identified at the time of undertaking research activities. As these type of
challenges also put negative impact over my project and my experience as well by evaluating the
improper and ineffective results at the end of the study. These skills reduce my experience level
while collection of information and completion of each activity of study in effective and efficient
manner. I contribute my all efforts whether, collection of information and completion of full
report. While conducting this research, I conduct market research and select respondents
according to the project. Apart from this, I experienced different types of limitations while
executing this investigation. These are time is not sufficient, allotted amount of cost is less,
behaviour from respondents side is unethical etc. These are major limitations that impacted on
my performance while completing of each and every task of research timely and successful.

Along with this, I also evaluate that I am able in gathering of secondary information from
number of secondary sources such as books, articles, magazines, publication research etc. These
sources supported me in fulfilment of research gap as well as accomplishment of aim and
objectives of the study.
Analysis: I think that I am more able in collection of information or data from the
selected respondents. I analysed that, by having time management skill I easily completed all
work in systematic manner. Along with this, due to excellent communication skill, time
management skill, knowledge about the effective research methods I easily completed full
project. In during the collection of secondary information for literature review, I analysed that I
am more able I gathering of information regarding the topic from secondary sources such as
magazines, books, publication research and many other. As a researcher, I think that, there well
be requirement for changing the research method that is qualitative research. This is essential
type of study and helps me in collecting and analysing of in-depth information regarding the
topic. In this method, I will require in making of open-ended questions that results in reduction
of unethical behaviour of respondents during the data collection. It means, in this all respondents
are completely free in providence of their opinion, view, feeling about the research topic. As it
support me in completion of full project effectively and systematically. As an educator, I will
also require in making some changes in the research. I try to provide accurate guidance to the
students to conduct entire project systematically. Overall, I analysed that I have appropriate skills
in doing of action research. Therefore, changes in project according to the educator and
researcher have positive impact on current investigation. This supported researcher in completion
of full project within given time period and in appropriate manner that results in attainment of
research aim and objectives.
There are numerous aspects related to research activities which are gone positive with me
like use of methodology and analysis of results. This is so because I have knowledge regarding
usable determinants. This will providing me an opportunity to focus over credible sources from
starting. This resultant into gathering of qualitative information along with analysis of
appropriate results from where possible to tale effective decisions. The theory of learnings
depicts that continuous level of learning and efforts always aid in development of knowledge.
This was reason that able to gain reliable results in the end of research along with positive
experiences during the performance of research functionalities. In comparison to same, my

behaviour is quite significant and relevant from where easily able to apply relevant concepts.
There are some points in which I was not good like patience and communication. This was the
reason that performance of credible actions took time. This has direct level of negative impact
over ability of getting of positive results. This present as negative point in personality that
restricts effective level of performance as per the stated requirement. Now, I have perception that
there is huge requirement of improving same as this will help in getting appropriate results.
Conclusion: From the above mentioned all stages, it has been concluded that I have all
types of skills and knowledge required for executing action research in systematic manner. By
following each activity of the research, I learnt that action research was useful and important at
educational level. The findings of the project has also determine that there are key problems like

of literacy and numeracy, Lack of time and Confidence that are regularly faced at the time of
adopting good practices of teaching and learning while promoting parental involvement at
national level. At the time of collecting data and information I felt that enough time is crucial for
me to evaluate or undertake the research activities because due to lack of time I have faced issue
in collecting data through participants. This is the reason that it is significant for me to manage
proper time planning is important for me to improve the possibilities of attaining reliable
outcomes at the end of the investigation. With the help of this, I can make overall effectiveness
of the research project. Along with this, by performing this investigation, different issues were
faced by me that impacted over my performance level and also effects in completing of full
project.
Action Plan: This is a last stage of GIbbs reflective model that is related with the ways
for overcoming the issues or challenges associated with the research and also reducing the
weakness. There were different issues such as lack of time, lack of capital, unethical behaviour
from respondents side etc. These are major challenges for me while completion of study in
effective and timely. In order to overcome challenge of time, I used Gantt chart that determined
as an effective time management tool. With the use of this tool I will identify starting and ending
data of each activity that results in completion of entire report timely. For overcoming or
reducing the challenge associated with respondents behaviour, I followed each principles of
research ethics in systematic manner. For this, I have also ensured that all the information
acquire from respondents keep confidential. This can be effective for me in making the trust of

participants. In addition to this, I also communicate with them to ask for keeping information
confidential so that they can easily share their views and opinion about the research topic and
area as well. Therefore, this will be important and useful for me while I need to complete entire
research in systematic manner. In order to overcome my weakness such as lack of presentation
skill, lack of confidence etc. I used to conduct meeting with my tutor I analysed their opinion
