The Adult Pre-Exercise Screening System (APSS) V2 (2019) is a screening tool to identify individuals with known disease, and/or signs or symptoms of disease, who may be at a higher risk of an adverse event due to exercise. The screening tool includes guidelines on how to use the information collected and to address the aims of each stage. The tool is divided into two stages, with the first stage being compulsory and the second stage being recommended. The tool includes questions related to medical history, physical activity levels, and risk factors for chronic diseases.
