Introduction
Inter-professional collaborative
practice is an effective approach in
healthcare process that helps
nursing professionals to take active
participation in every discipline of
patient care (Körner et al., 2016).
In this presentation I would be
discussing about my experience of
inter-professional collaborative
practice that happened during third
year placement.
In this situation, my collaboration
with dietician and the occupational
therapist would be discussed in this
paper.

Roles of dietician and
occupational therapist
In the cardiac unit. I was assigned with patient X (57) who was
suffering from the risk of myocardial infarction and was suffering
from high blood pressure. Patient also complained about pain in
his right thighs.
Role of dietician
The role of dietician in this condition was to eliminate sodium
from the diet of the patient so that the elevated blood pressure
could be controlled.
Their contribution in this inter-professional practice was crucial as
to reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, it was important to
reduce the high blood pressure.
