Advanced Networking Concept

Abstract
A report investigates the network services, where a proposed network design implementation
is carried out. Further, the installation and configuration of Linux network services is
demonstrated in this report. This project's scope is to identify that the current network’s
optimization is effective for an organization or not.

1. Introduction
This report’s objective revolves around developing an implemented network design,
and providing Linux network services’ installation and configuration.
1.1 Project Background
In general, network service comprises of network functions and is characterized based
its functional as well as behavioral specifications. These specification are vital for the
network services, due to the efforts taken by today’s companies for meeting their business
requirements. The network services helps to optimize a business’s production (What are
network services?, 2020).
2. Literature Review
Network Services
As mentioned by Wolf (2010), the importance of network services are explored and
understood. The benefits of network services’ custom installation is presented which
motivates all the businesses to implement network service customization.
Firewall
It is stated by Garlick (2009) that the firewall must be implemented and optimized.
Because, optimization of firewall provides network security, including privacy.
Essential Tool to Implement in a Network
According to B. Patil and Kulkarni (2017), the network has a special role for DHCP,
whose access is just provided to the admin in an organization. DHCP assign the IP addresses
automatically to different computers in a dynamic approach. Similarly, the SSH and DNS
have specific roles in the network, for instance, SSH helps to assist different features, along
with security.
3. Project Scope & Limitations
This project's scope refers to identifying that the present network’s optimization is
effective for an organization or not.
The limitations are listed below:
1. It contains risks related to security.
