rights to live life with liberty and freedom free from evil elements like slavery and torture. The
human rights include elements like the freedom to speak, freedom of having different opinion
tights to work and get educated. Although there are has been key concerns relevant to the subject
value in recent times. According to Short, (2016) Human rights in Australia is preserved under
an independent judiciary system and is highly acknowledged with this country. The policy for
human rights is developed under the Australian Parliamentary democracy through the

to preserve and state human rights many of the books excluded the women's, religions and colour

Although it can be stated that after the establishment and introduction of Contemporary human
rights law and United nations the principles stated for Human rights have become more
significant and ideal to set an effective human rights guide and eradicate evils against
discrimination of rights in the society. In the mid 19th century there was also an introduction to
the International Labor Organization to look after the worker's rights at the workplace (Cunneen
et al 2016). All of these changes had vital impacts in Australian Human Rights departments
which they were concerned of raising the high standard for there country in terms of
safeguarding the rights of every fellow citizen living in and for the country. The major
implemented policy which can be seen in Australia are the introduction of policies named
Human Rights Commission Act in 1986, Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989,

Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission Act 1986. This law is made to protect the
human rights of people and provide equality amongst them. There are no. of international
instruments which have been followed under this law like Declaration of the Rights of the
Child, Declaration of the Rights of Disabled Persons, Declaration of the Rights of
Mentally Retarded persons, Declaration on the elimination of All Forms of Intolerance,
etc.
2. Disability Discrimination Act 1992 - This act aimed to get rid of discrimination against
the people who are disabled. This act provides all the fundamentals and necessary rights
to the disabled people. This law also ensures that disabled persons have the same rights to
equality before the laws as other peoples have in the community.
3. Age Discrimination Act 2004 - This act ensures that the people of Australia do not treat
less favorably because of the age. Age discrimination is not allowed under the various
areas of public life like in education, employment, provision of goods and services, also
in some health programmes, etc.
4. Sex Discrimination Act 1984 - This acts promotes the equality between men and women.
This act helps to remove racialism on the basis of sex. This acts also provide safety to the

Gruber, 2017). Give equality to both men and women for the provision of goods and
services and for accommodation as well.
5. Racial Discrimination Act 1975 - this act provides equality before the law for all persons
despite the prevailing circumstances like race, colour, descent or national or ethnic origin.

In conclusion, we can say that Australia federal government has made various laws and also
improve their laws of human rights in past years which are very favourable for the Australian
peoples. Human rights of Australia are working best for the safety of the people with disabilities
and from violence as well. Humans rights of Australia also ensure that disable peoples will get
