Abstract
Leeds Bradford is one of the airports that needs require to be developed is what will
be discussed in this paper. The airport is located northwest and 11 kilometers miles from
Leeds city and 14 kilometers from the center of Bradford city. The town was founded in the
year 1931 and after that being named Yeadon. Several factors led to the growth of this airport
one being that it serves people from both the two cities Bradford and Leeds. With all these
types of development the airport still lags behind when it comes to competition with superior
airports. The airport is located out of the GCC region as well. The paper will discuss in
details how these developments are set to be achieved and any factors that can either hinder it
or boost it through answering several questions.
Airport Analysis
During the world war, it was used mainly to do testing for military flights, which led
to its improvement and development of two runaways (Stackhouse). This being one of the
political factors that led to the increase Leeds Bradford airport also ensured that the locals
benefited from the fact that the airport will serve them as well as their military. The capacity
constraints that also ensured its development were the fact that it had several customers and
therefore, they had to ensure they use a place that can hold them correctly. The airport was
built under an area of 35acres which provided that serves all her customers with quality.
Although the airport is being well developed, it still requires more improvements and
development to ensure that it serves all her customers according to their demands. There have
been high demands from customers who expect the airport to improve their direct
destinations to several parts of the world. High demand from customers has made the airport
to look for ways to ensure that they solve the riddle at hand. Establishing direct flights to long

haul destinations will cover up for what their customers are demanding. Developments which
will ensure that the arrival terminals as well as departure terminals will be in a world-class
form are one of the first steps to be taken by the airport.
The airport is located around two biggest cities, thus giving it an advantage of business
location nearness, which leads to increased customers daily might work in favor of the
airport. Although this might seem advantageous, the high demands from customers who
expect nothing less from the company but a direct international flight to various destinations
might also obliterate its future (Gunston). This will lead customers to move to other flight
offers airports to enable them to get what they need. Developments of this airport to ensure it
reaches an international quality seem to be very important. Arrival terminals and departure
terminals at the moment cannot hold the capacity of international customers it will receive.
Developments to ensure the improvements of these terminals are compulsory at the moment.
With the airport having capacity constraints which in about four years if no upgrades are
made on it might result in the fall of the airport. The global crisis affects the airport at many
points because as the world is set to be globalized and transportation methods from country to
the country being air transport, airports that have international landing and planes are set to
benefit more. Customers from all parts of the world who wants to travel might seek their
flights, which have several cheap offering airlines companies, thus calling the company to
improve its state to an international pace. Due to their slight few destinations worldwide, they
need to grow and ensure several key destinations are introduced to serve their loyal
customers. Facilities problems is also another factor that makes the airport demand for
improvements big. An example is terminals that cannot hold an international capacity as well
as foods and snacks area, which also has to be improved to accommodate a world-class dish
and variety of people, including their numbers. Improving destinations as well as buildings to

hold the international capacity is one of the main factors that need to be considered by the
management of the airport.

Political, Economic Social, Technical, and Environmental aspects have influenced the
growth and rise of the Leeds and Bradford airport in many different forms. Political factors
affected the growth of the airport at some point; the airport worked at the fixed limited period
allowing the aircraft to access it at a given time. In the year 1994, these restrictions were
lifted, and the airport was allowed to work 24 hours a day. Political factors like this one
affected the airport in different ways; first, it made them to have a limited number of
customers as well as being supervised on how they conducted their schedules. Environmental
factors as well have affected the airport in several ways; the main factor that comes out of the
environment is employees McIntyre, Annette (6 March 2015). Most of their employees come
from the surrounding regions and cities. Leeds city holding the highest number of people in
the area compared to other cities tend to have more employees working in the airport.
Employment opportunities also help to determine the region in several different ways. If the
people near the surrounding area of the port are given employment then when the time comes
for expansion of the port, they will be more than willing to accept S. Bluffield, Robert.
(2009).
Social factors have helped in the development of the port, how they socialize with
people will determine the number of customers they are going to receive in the future. Better
methods of socializing will ensure that they gain their desire to increase the number of
passengers from 3 million per annum to 7.1 million per annum according to their
expectations. Lopez, Donald (2015). To ensure that they achieve this aim, they have to ensure
