Introduction
Patient care and Affordable Care Act was the federal statute in in the time of Barack
Obama presidency. This act is also known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and it is a
major debatable topic among the US politicians. The major provisions of this act was come in
to effect from 2014 and by 2016, it covered more than 20 million people for better healthcare
in UA (Oberlander & Weaver, 2015). The intent of this act was to provide coverage to all the
people, regardless of their pre-existing health conditions, at very low and affordable cost.
However, this act is applied only on the US citizens. The present essay discusses the role of
different types of variable that can affect this healthcare act in the United States. The present
essay also discusses the effectiveness of ACA in the country and helps to determine whether
it is good or bad law for the people.

As per this act, more than 30 million US citizens will be benefited whose income is
less than US $44.680. Apart from this, if a family has four member then it will be benefited

those families whose income is less than US$92,200. However, two third of the total
population will be provided coverage benefit under this ACA act in USA (Nikpay,
Buchmueller, & Levy, 2016).
The large numbers of people under the affordable care act take the advantage if
instant healthcare benefits on very low cost. According to an estimate, because of lower
prices of the insurance and lower than expected premiums will help people to save more than
$104 billion over the next ten years. This was expected by the government at that time. Apart
from this, under this the Medicare cost was also decreased by 2020 in compare to 2010.
However, the low affordable cost of Affordable cost of care provides instant healthcare
facilities for people on very low cost. This was really a great scheme by the former president
of USA Barack Obama (Bearak, Finer, Jerman, & Kavanaugh, 2016).

provide care and coverage to US citizens only and it is expected that most of the people take
