Toy Age group Why? Include safety
Pencils 2-3 years At this age, children can grip
anything properly and the
risk of eating everything they
find new is reduced.
Pull-along duck Toddlers With the parents’
intervention use of play-
along ducks while bathing is
safe.
Play dough 2 Years and up can use, but it
is recommended to use after
5 years.
Children of less than 5 years
can get harassed by its
choking hazards.
Scissors 2-3 years of age is able to
grip a scissor.

fine motor skill, hand-eye
coordination and strength to
cut. But, blunt-tip scissors
must be provided to avoid
safety issues.
Small threading beads 3-5 Children of this age will not
swallow it and they will have
a proper control in grip.
Large Plastic box Toddler (1-3) It is safe because it cannot be
swallowed.
Fine paint brushes 2-3 years In this age children gain fine

know about this allergy.

nausea etc. This child is having exact symptom of skin eczema.
4. Food that causes allergy should be avoided and sharing of food and eating others
Tiffin must not be allowed.
5. If the child eat egg and begin reacting then he should be transferred to the emergency
room immediately for the initial treatment.
6. In the file containing medical documents of children, the information about treating
the child and medication is kept.
7. When the allergy symptoms are detected then adrenalin is provided through an auto
injector.
8. Three causes are food, medication and biting or stinging insects.

a. Babies: A baby generally sleeps 12 to 15 hours in a day. The day should start
around 6-8 am and the bedtime at night should be around 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
b. Toddler: Toddlers generally requires around 12 to 14 hours of sleep in a day
including an afternoon nap. Avoid holding or feeding when a toddler is sleeping.
c. Prep/Preschool: A child of pre-school needs 11-13 hours of sleep daily including
the midday nap. Alerting the child half an hour before to have a nap is necessary
in this stage.
