INTRODUCTION:
Throughout the ancient times almonds has always been valued for its crunchy and delicious taste
throughout the world. This report explains the importance of almonds, its harvesting process and
the history of this unique fruit.
PART A) WHERE IS YOUR INGREDIENT PRODUCED?
Almonds are widely grown in the united states as compare to other countries on earth not only that
the US is known to be a dominant state for the highest global production of almonds, moreover
followed by other states which are the traditional growers of almonds includes Spain, and Italy.
There are other countries too where almonds are produced but only in the quantity for home usage;
which includes middle east, European countries, Germany, japan and the Netherlands.
CALIFORNIA:
The US is known to be the foremost producer for almonds in the world by producing about
2,002,742 tons. California almonds are grown in huge amounts out of which 70% is exported either
shelled or in processed form. In California the cultivation is in fertile soils, abundant sunshine and
most importantly into a mild climate, with the help of advanced equipment’s and techniques from
growth to harvesting, processing into packaging.
