INTRODUCTION
In order to boost the global trade aviation industry has been considered as key
contributor. This industry is growing tremendously due to the use of advance technology. The
aviation industry has been providing the customers with the advance facilities which has been
indispensable mean of transport (Poberezhna, 2021). As this industry is contributing to the
economy in the greater aspects by providing employment opportunities, facilitating international
trade and tourism, business growth etc. In this report the Evergreen airways corporation which is
a Taiwanese international based flight which is a 5 star airline. It was founded on 8 march, 1989
around 33 years ago. The airlines has expanded its services that includes air cargo, airline
catering, ground handling and aviation engineering services that helped them to one of the
second largest Taiwanese airlines. But during the pandemic time the airlines has to face the
decline in the numbers of passengers. This lead to the decrease in the revenue of the company.
MAIN BODY
During the pandemic time the aviation sector had a significant impact worldwide. Due to
which this sector adopted different travelling measures to protect the passengers. So the airline
changed the rules and regulation according to the situation of COVID- 19. The EVA airlines
made the PCR test mandatory that maintains the passenger safety while travelling. In order to
recover from the Pandemic as soon the possible the respective airline adopted different
techniques that helped them to avoid the crowd. The Evergreen airlines had adopted the online
check in system that helped to boost their profitability and contribute towards the economy. By
providing online boarding pass facilities, Evergreen airlines were able to avoid the crowd at the
time of check in (Khadonova, Ufimtsev and Dymkova, 2020). This result in that there is less
transmission of the diseases and the passengers should also not stand in the queue for a long
period of time. Through this system the respective airlines were able to maintain the distance
among the passengers and time is also saved due to online check in. When I travelled through
this airlines the booking system pattern got changed, quarantines became mandatory, using of
mask, negative PCR reports before and after entering the country became essential while
travelling. I collected my boarding pass online that helped me to save my time and avoid the
crowd at the airports.
The aviation industry became more digitalised during the time of the pandemic as the
Evergreen airlines also provided the passengers to select the food menu online in the airlines that

within the flights as well as the kitchen. Along with this they also focused on the solid food
products instead of provide proper meal top them.

health and safety. The airports and airlines adopted biometric identification through which the
travel become more convenient and time saving for the individual. As due to the increasing cases
of the COVID-19 this helped the airlines to provide facility which are contact free and more
personalised. As when I moved to the airline lounge I used biometric identification through
which I got accessed to the entry gate without any license as they adopted face recognition
system, pre flight snacks which was very easy and interesting for me. I didn't even touch
anything and anyone to get my snacks which was virtually contact free. During the pandemic
time it has been observed by me that proper hygiene as well as sanitization facility are provided
by the management of Evergreen airline (Rizzi,Tettamanti and Rizzi, 2022) . So, by adopting
different technology the Evergreen airlines have been very innovative due to which the
passengers are choosing this airlines for travelling.
In addition to this, the another effort which is made by the respective company
management after the COVID 19 pandemic is that they introduce the e-library within the flights.
By providing this facility the Evergreen airlines eliminated the use of the in hand newspapers,
magazines in order to save energy, reduce emission and contribute towards global warming. The
introduction of digitalised books and magazines services helped passengers to download the app
in their mobile phones before the boarding to the flights and after arriving at their destination
(BOARD, 2021). Through this services the passengers were able to enjoy more than 400
different articles, books, magazines that are available in more than 50 languages which covered

through this app the passengers can also know about the update related to their routes and the
services.
There was a dramatic drop in the demand of airlines during the time of pandemic due to
change in rules while travelling and increased travel restriction. The aviation industry and
airlines faced increased in the operating costs because of extra health and safety requirements. In
addition to it due to the social distancing measures, the occupancy in airlines of passengers
decreased to 50% due to which also the airlines faced loss. So, the Evergreen airlines reevaluated
the economy for operating flights so they gave more focus on long haul flights (Albers and et.al.,
2020). They gave more focus on business class travellers as they gave more value to the time
over the price. The airlines also provided different packages, discount facility and offers to
attract the passengers to travel through this airlines . As the passengers who are travelling with
the connecting flights, the respective airline provided proper COVID -19 facility such as instant
COVID TEST, Sanitization, food with proper packaging, maintaining social distance through
which there was less spread of diseases.
CONCLUSION
From the above we can conclude that Evergreen airlines is providing best services to their
passengers by maintaining proper health safety and hygiene of the individual travelling through
this airlines. The respective airline has made its most of the services online due to the impact of
