ground handling. It also harmonizes the process.
Ground handling function is critical and costly because lot of responsibility
is involved like:

be very responsible when handling the fragile cargo and preparation
of flight for next destination.

4. Find an academic reference on what airports can do to prevent bird
collisions and paraphrase the key findings about it.
Answer
There are various technique which are employed by the airport authority
in order to minimise the bird collisions:
1) Changing the habitat surrounding which makes easy for the bird to
find alternative feeding grounds. It can be done by removing seed
bearing plants, covering water pond with net, cutting down trees
which act as an attractive nesting place for the birds.
2) Modification of bird’s behaviour by using recorded predator calls and
other sound making instrument.
3) It is also better to change the path of flight and schedules of the
same in order to minimise the bird strikes. Spotters are trained with
binoculars in order to pinpoint hazardous bird and providing
direction to planes to different runways and highways. Radar
equipment can be used. Flight times can be adjusted in order to
avoid the busiest hour for bird activity. (Mayntz, 2019)
