This study discusses the public health issue of alcohol addiction in the United Kingdom and proposes strategies for intervention. The intervention includes educating the service user, introducing rehabilitation centres and detoxification programmes, and conducting campaigns to create awareness. The service provider should coordinate with the Government authorities to increase the prices of alcohol in United Kingdom for the purpose of reducing its purchase and should provide the alcohol shop owners with strict guidelines which they need to abide by. The study also emphasizes the importance of evaluating the benefits of programmes conducted by the service provider.
